A friend took us to Raya just last weekend to get a taste of Phuket local food - which is certainly much different from the food you get at tourist spots.
We had the crab curry (amazing with LOTSA peeled crab meat), huge fried fish with crispy garlic and chilly bits, HUGE crab cakes, local Thai vege with egg and tom yang kung of course.
And for drinks we had the house special - not sure what it's called in Thai but once I tasted it I knew it was palm fruit juice.
And for dessert, palm fruit! but cut up into small tiny balls with ice. It was yums! and the perfect combo to wash down the spicy meal.
