they stole 500euros in my luggage in the room, it was hidden, underneath my clothes, it's a shame.

Just returned from this hotel and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is located on a cliff between Patong and Karon. You can reach both in under 5 minutes, but you need transport. We hired a motor bike, but be prepared to pay for taxi's if you don't have your own transport. The hotel is built on an established heavily wooded hillside, and the gardens are beautiful. The rooms are more than adequate, but I think the higher up the slope you are, the better the views will be. Ours were magnificent, and the sunsets were amazing. Due to the location of the hotel, i.e. very steep hillside, it would not be suitable for people who could not walk easily, or in my opionion small children. For me it's a couples hotel, removed from the mayhem of Patong, but within easy reach if you need the nightlife. Small pool, but there was always plenty of room. We loved it.

The only downside was the breakfast which was not good, but the same restaurant in the evening did great food.

I would return to this hotel any time, and hope to do so in the near future.

A 3 night stay at the Secret Cliff Resort marked the first part of our stay at Phuket. Overall an enjoyable stay, with the pros and cons per below:

Pros
- Away from the main Patong beach so it's quiet and relaxing
- Decent room size with very comfortable beds
- Lots of greenery (trees and plants) all over the resort so it felt like we were surrounded by nature
- Pool overlooks the sea
- Restaurant has a FANTASTIC view, decent food

Cons
- Only one shuttle service per day to either Patong/ Karon and they are not exactly at the best times. Will have to take your own tuk tuk to town (300 baht each way)
- Pool is more for dipping, very small
- We were very lucky to be in room 101 so we were the first room away from the restaurant. If you stay any further in, you might find the hike to breakfast quite tiring!

We stayed at the resort for 5 days (only last week) - it's fantastic and everything as good as the website shows and describes. The location on the side of the cliff is amazing really with just the best views. We checked in around midday as planned and were met but the friendliest and helpful staff and they were that way throughout out visit. The girls on the front desk told us about an amazing private beach just half an hour away. Nothing was a problem for them. We booked the 'Ocean Deluxe' - Room #145, recommended, spacious, lovely decor, and great views to the ocean and Karon beach. It is also worth enquiring about rooms $128 and #129 - these also looked very good. The restaurant is very good, reasonable prices - the daily breakfast also excellent - and once again those amazing views. The whole resort is very quiet, beautiful lush gardens, ample parking for the rent-a-car or bike. A short five minute trip to Patong or Karon beach.
Overall - highly recommended for the price and for sure we're going back.
