“Delightful stay at Hideaway hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

The Pacific club was just right for us! The rooms were spacious, quiet and comfortable. The place feels smaller than it actually is. The dining was exceptional for a hotel so much so that we were reluctant to dine anywhere else. The food was delicious and the price competitive. The pool on the roof, had wonderful views, but the water was a tad cool for us with "old bones" (There had been quite a bit of rain prior to our arrival, which may have affected the temperature) Overall, this hotel was a great experience for us, but climbing the hill in the heat when returning from a walk was challenging at times.

Room Tip: We only stayed in 1 standard room, seemed to have all we needed.

“Ok and good views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012 via mobile

Stayed here for 4 nights in Dec. I thought it was good value for money. As we were visiting Phuket in the shoulder season, it was good to get away from the masses. Paid for the airport transfer which worked well, no issues, paid for the top floor upgrade, and this was good, had great views over karon. One point we did party late at night and a sleep in was needed, but as our top floor room was directly under the pool, the pool water noise did wake me up, but a couple of cheap ear plugs fixed the issue no probs.
Room was a suite, old but nice, comfy bed, plenty of room, big shower area. Had a kettle if you wanted to make yourself a brew or meal. Big fridge to store a few frosties in, so all good.
Had breakfast in the room rate, which was good, lots of it, eggs to order, passable espresso, fruits etcetera. Only comment was no local Thai breaky, but no biggy as this can be sampled in town for a couple of dollars.
Tried a variety of the drinks and food, all ok.
Pool was good, great view, you can order drinks and food on the roof, have a swim and take in the sights.
Stroll into town was easy, no issue at all. If you didn't feel like the walk the hotel staff would quickly arrange transport for a couple of hundred baht. Getting back by tuk tuk was easy, they all knew the way.
All up I would stay there again.

“A wonderful experience and fantastic value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

We stayed at the pacific club resort between 24th of November 2012 and 1st of December 2012.

I want to say right at the start, the service we received at Pacific Club Resort was outstanding. We visited friends at other resorts in Karon and found the staff in other hotels far less attentive or friendly.

Very courteous drivers - On most occasions where we needed taxi transport from the hotel to wherever we were going, we were given a private car for the same fee as a tuk tuk. The driver who collected us from the airport was very helpful, insisted on helping with our bags and we felt safe at all times. We took the hotels advice and arranged for a driver to pick us up, best 750 baht you could spend at the airport, a quiet air conditioned car with leather seats was not what we expected, it was far better! (a tuk tuk to Patong beach is never more than 300 baht in case you wonder)

The Mini mart in the hotel - we arrived quite late in the evening, not helped by storms delaying our flight out of Bangkok, we were greeted with a glass of juice at the reception desk. My fiancee enquired if there was a minibar in our room as there was not the staff at the front desk were extremely helpful and opened the mini-mart just for her to get some bits and pieces and extra water for teeth brushing. That being said we were provided with 2 bottles of water in our room daily.

Presentation of the room including the towels - On arrival we were very impressed with the presentation of the room. The towels were set on the bed upstanding in the shape of two swans creating a love heart. It was a lot of little touches like this that made it a thoroughly unique hospitality experience.

Housekeeping service was exceptional, they always went above and beyond what you would experience and expect from an Australian resort. Clean towels were provided daily, fresh bottles of water, the bed was made exceptionally and our pajamas ALWAYS folded and left on our pillow. If we happened to leave any other clothes out on the couch or hanging over chairs they were always tended to and found neatly folded as well.

Rooftop pool - the beach is only a 10 minute walk away but depending on the time of year you travel you may find it crowded, as we did, making the pool a very welcome retreat. We didn’t try the bar service but the pool itself has lovely views and is very refreshing.

Attentive front desk - You only need to be approaching the desk and will ALWAYS be greeted with a smiling face. During peak times we always found there to be 2-3 attendants and never were left waiting to be attended to.

With 33 rooms, the resort is not so big or busy that you could ever feel crowded, the most people we saw during our stay were in the restaurant at breakfast time. We always had the pool to ourselves, there were other people on the sun lounges but its spacious enough to feel like your own little space of paradise.

Breakfast was included as we booked direct with the hotel - The breakfast buffet was more than adequate to fill you for a days fun in Phuket, no complaints on my part. Food ranges from cereals and breads with various (and unusual) jams, waffles, fresh fruit and yoghurt, sausages & bacon, baked beans and eggs cooked to order. Tea and coffee was there to help yourself.

We found the king size bed extremely comfortable and the pillows were . Sleep was no problem.

Although we are from the East coast of Australia, which can get quite hot and humid, we both found the Thai humidity quite draining after a long day, so coming back to the air conditioned room set at the temperature we wanted and being able to completely relax was a real treat.

Some of our friends who travelled with us and stayed at a different hotel complained about the lack of television channels. We had no such complaints! I don’t think we had time to go through all the channels.

The room had ample space to open our suitcases and lay or hang the contents out.

Overall, we had a very enjoyable holiday in Phuket and our accommodation played a big part in that. The location was fine, it may not be on the beach, but spend enough time down by the beach and you’ll appreciate being away from it at night.

We intend to stay here again on our Honeymoon!

Thank you to all the staff at Pacific Club Resort.

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors will have a view but we were quite happy on the 2nd level.

“Great resort and very helpful staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

It was a great stay, we have a 3 yo girl and they catered for us well.
The best attribute is easily the management staff, don't bother trying to find cheaper transport or tours, these guys really do act on your best behalf and can arrange almost anything.

The only drawbacks are how far away from everything it is (at least 15min walk to food etc) and the constant din from a new resort be constructed over the road (24/7). There is also the omnipresent smell of rotting garbage which is nasty when the breeze dies down. And I guess they can't do anything about the rude vodka swillers either...

Room Tip: Ask for a room with only one common wall if possible.

“Amazing Resort, good value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

I stayed at Pacific Club Resort (Studio Suite) with my wife for 04 days from 22nd to 26th November 2012. It was wonderful. We booked directly from the hotel website and got a free breakfast deal which was excellent. I also paid 395 Baht per night to get a guaranteed higher (executive) floor upgrade which was worth every penny. Also, we used the hotel airport transfer (750 baht per way) which i think is the wisest decision I ever made because it is around 1.5 hour drive from hotel to the airport and with hotel driver, it was hassle free and very convenient.
We were welcomed by smiling and friendly reception. Each and every person/staff at the resort was very friendly and smiling all the time. Loved the people at the hotel.
And the food, WOW! The best I had in Thailand. Every single dish we ordered was delicious. We loved the food. Also, we tired the Karon Cafe Inn at Karon Village, which was amazing as well. The cafe is affiliated with the resort.
Upon our arrival, we were given a map to the beach & the village which was very helpful. Walk to the beach is just 5 minutes and I dont know why people are complaining about it. The only tough part is the sudden elevation you face when returning back to the hotel but that was the thing we also enjoyed :P
The rooftop pool is amazing, we enjoyed every bit of it. Swimming under the moon with green hill around was amazing. Jacuzzi was also very good. WiFi signal was excellent and the air-conditioning as well.
Borrowed the bicycles and umbrellas as well. You can rent the scooties and car directly from the hotel. Rented the car on our last day for 5 hours for 1500 Bahts and went to see different places.
Had a small kitchen in our suite which was very useful. We had a dining table with 02 chairs, a comfy sofa, a comfy bed and an LCD. Loved the Balcony. We used the guaranteed upgrade and a got the room on top most floor, 4th floor. Worth every penny. Also, borrowed an iron and an ironing stand which was very convenient.
The only thing which bothered me was the shower. There was some issue with the hot water side. Hot water came for a few seconds and then it stopped and cold water started coming instead. A plumber did come and tried to fix it but he couldn't. Apart from that, everything was amazing. Such a good value for money.
If I come to Karon again, this is the place I am going to stay again for sure.

Room Tip: The higher the better. Get a guaranteed upgrade room to the executive floors for best views like we...
