“Not ok”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

Lack of privacy, daily maintenance is poor, slippery pavement, NOISE, pool algea outbreak, poor kids club. If you are interested about where this place needs to improve, then read on. The monsoon brings rain and keeps the crowds away. A week R&R with my family (2 adults & 2 kids 10 and 6) was not so R&R.
We have a family deluxe sea view room pretty much on the top floor. Room is ok with the minimum provided for. This is one big room with a double an a single bed plus another stow away bed under the single. No privacy for mum and dad :(
The rooms are maintained daily, but nothing too flash. Our whole family came down with the bug. At those times you wish disinfectants would be use liberally when cleaning toilet and shower. We have a suspicion that a lack of proper cleaning / disinfection was a contributor to all of us getting the bug on different days. We asked for extra bottled water, as only one 500ml bottle is provided per person per day, however we were told that every extra bottle would cost 20B. Cheaper to go to the mini mart, which is very close by.
The restaurant is good and breakfast buffet has a great selection.
If you are not sure footed this is not the place to go. The pavement is all slippery with a little water. Reception staff helpfulness was varied. Some staff were very attentive, others were less.
Then there is the noise. Slamming doors from three doors up sounded like our doors, the street / nightclub / disco taxis noise at night is horrendous and keeps going till the early hours.
The pools were great and clean the first 2 days, but then turned green....... The rain prevented us to go out all the time. A kids club is great. We have used them in other places in Phuket. But here the kids club was closed, so just a pool table and table tennis table. Really poor. Beach is 5 mins away on foot, but the busy road in between the hotel and the beach made this a bit of an unpleasant journey with young children, especially when it's wet.

Stayed here as a couple for 2 weeks. Never again . Everyone's experience is different and this is mine.I would not recommend to stay here if you plan to rest & relax how horrible.
Renovations going on everyday. Housekeeping think you have to work in and around them and their routine with screeching voice's anywhere from 7.30am to 10.00am and the banging doors and bottle's (water) being clanged & banged & and God let's not forget the Fire Crackers been set off across the road from Hotel every day . I did complain they moved us from the horror room to another further from the staff storage area But no the staff did not let up. Glad to be home maybe get some R & R here.

Room Tip: If you are Fit choose a high floor If your not then stay near ground level . Lift did not work twi...

Stayed here for 7 days with my sister. We booked a great deal with this hotel through flight centre. Had no issues with staff they were all amazing especially the staff in the dining area. Buffet breakky has a fantastic range. Fruits, breads, eggs different ways cooked by a chef right in front of you YUMM. rooms were great we were on a higher level and the lift was nit working. So if your not to fit id definately recommend a lower level room. The hotel is located just around the corner from a great little hub of restaraunts and massage parlours. Close to the karon beach as well. Cant reccomend this olace enough :)

Stayed here for 2 weeks great staff , clean and cool rooms our first time in Phuket enjoyed ourselves very central to all the necessities of life Jacobs Creek wine selection in Bamboo Mart for $28 Aussie Chang Lager seems to be the pick of the local beer but don't let my taste rule there is a few to
Choose from . Tut Tut is the way to get around little boom boxes on wheels and reasonably cheap although a aircon taxi is the same price

We've been to this hotel 5 years running and mostly its been under improvement/repair of some sort all that time. The location is good close to the markets and restaurants, but more than likely we won't be going back. There's simply better value for money elsewhere.

Stayed here August and we will definitely be back. The staff were lovely and the rooms were large and comfortable. We stayed on the second level and had easy access to the lovely pools and bar .The food in the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced for a hotel. Just a short stroll to get to the beach but with such lovely pools we didn't need to .I highly recommend this hotel for all ages.

Room Tip: The lower levels are good if you don't like to climb stairs but higher levels have wonderful vie...

What a great spot! Location perfect.
The hospitality was fantastic. The accommodation was clean and fresh. The service was impeccable. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The Buffet Breakfast was great and full of variety. The Balcony Rooms on the higher levels had great views and the lower rooms looked out onto the lovely lush gardens. The hotel grounds were really lovely. The gardens were meticulously manicured around 2 pools and a pool bar as well as another pool on an upper level.
We had a great experience.
The only thing i would like to change may be the bed as it was a little hard and on a couple of occasions i accidentally walked into the corner of the bed base lifting the skin on my shin. I soon fixed that by padding with a towel. And although the bed was hard I did not loose sleep.
Still, I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to and Single person, couple or family who wants great quality and value for money.
I know I would not look anywhere else. Ill be back.

Room Tip: If you have trouble with a few stairs there are the rooms overlooking the lovely gardens which could...
