“First and unforgettable Phuket experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2012

This was our first trip to Phuket. I highly recommend this property as it is no more than 200 meters from the beach and has incredible views. Staff was wonderful, friendly, attentive. One issue - the Wi-Fi was not included and the reception was terrible. But then again, I should not have been working during our vacation!

Do not waste your money or time at their restaurant, however. Breakfast was COLD and EXPENSIVE. There are many local restaurants and street vendors with AWESOME and CHEAP food.

Room Tip: One of the higher floors, overlooking ocean.

Stayed here for about a week, having chosen the hotel after reading TripAdvisor reviews. The stairs mentioned were not too heavy (all over the place, and plateaus between levels), and we never had to wait to use the elevator (which we mostly did). Not the hotel of your choice if you are in very bad shape or have walking difficulties, but not a big issue for normally healthy people.

5 minutes walk to the beach - a bit further than most of the other hotels along the beach road. You can walk along the trafficked road, or along the laguna that lies between the hotel and the beach. The road is generally quite busy, but quiet in nighttime.

Lots of shops and restaurants just 5 minutes walk from the hotel, we had dinner out every night.

Free wifi in the lobby (and most of the restaurants in the area as well).

Nice pools, good food at the pool bar, and the best raspberry smoothie ever!
You might not want to be the last one out from breakfast if you want a sunbed by the pool, but it wasn't too crowded.

Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. Not bad, only boring. It was ok, but mostly whitebread, jams, cheese and ham, salad, some fruit, two choices of juice (pineapple and orange), and (not-so-)warm-food (noodles, rice, sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, fried vegetables). The same every day.

We have been traveling for the past five months and we have been paying $25-$60 a night for accommodation. So approximately $110 a night was not normal practice for us. However, we enjoyed the hotel for the following reasons: 3 pools, great buffet breakfast(included in the price of the room), stunning view from our balcony, well appointed room, and excellent service from the staff. Across the street from the hotel there is a lovely walking area perfect for that early morning run or walk. We were a short walk from the beach and restaurants. The only disappointment was that the WiFi was free in a public area but not free in the rooms. This is the only place that we have stayed in SE Asia that did not have free WiFI in your room. We would suggest that management look into this matter as many travelers want to call their families from their room not in a public place.

This was our first hotel in Thailand and it was pretty excellent. We stayed in the bungalow rooms which were very comfortable. The hotel is well located in Phuket, an easy walk from lots of interesting things.

The only comment is that we booked this hotel from Australia so it was quite "expensive" compared to booking something locally (Though I'm not sure how much the same place booked from Thailand would be)

We stayed here a week ago and the rooms are some what clean. We stayed on the 3rd "floor". The hotel is built on a hill so there is no elevators and you have to climb stairs to get to your room (there is a LOT of stairs) which does not help if you have heavy luggage.
Finally arriving in the room, the decor is quite old. The bathroom was not included in the air conditioning and had cut out blocks that directly led to the hallway outside. We had little ants crawling into our bathroom through an eroded powerpoint. After informing the staff (who supposedly later sprayed the area), we continued to have an ant problem, which the staff didn't care about. Internet in the rooms is not free however, the lobby has free wifi but it does cut out quite often.
Pros of the hotel is that the restaurant is quite good. If you choose to stay here, the thai food is delicious but stay away from the western food.
Overall, the staff weren't that friendly, the room definitely wasn't worth the price. We moved into a cheaper hotel in Patong which was vastly better than this. I wouldn't stay here again

My wife and I stayed here from January 1 - 6, 2012. While the rooms are clean and decent for a hotel in this class, we found that the staff could really have been more courteous and helpful. It could perhaps be the result of visiting during peak season, but we travelled to other venues in Thailand during this visit and found the staff far more helpful and polite there.

Overall - ok, but the staff (especially front office) really needs to understand the service industry is about guests.

Will definitely be back. The rooms were very clean, could not be faulted. The staff in the restaurant were lovely. The room staff, were not quite so nice. Breakfast was great to begin with, but then quite boring after a few days. Although the quality of the food could not be faulted. The bar at the pool side was dis organised. The staff could not make cocktails, had to wait for another staff member to come and make them. Food was also quite slow if ordering from there. Great for location for getting out and about. Shops / markets and beach within 5 mins walking. Taxi stand straight across the road. Well the stairs were a pain, but didn't mind so much as treated that as our daily exercise and and excuse to eat and drink more !
