Sugar palm karon is e nice place to stay, nothing special but if you have a good deal than is it ok.
Rooms are clean and the pool acces rooms are nice, near the beachat 5 minutes walk.
Staff are ok but nothing special, breakfast average.

This hotel is in need of a makeover, it has been poorly maintained. The bathroom had mould around it, the room smelt of mould. The breakfast was not great, we had cats jumping up on chairs.
The location is definitely suited to older people.
The staff were amazing and extremely helpful, we were able to rent a motorcycle from the hotel at a great price.

Anyone who thinks they can spend so little and stay is in palace is simply dreaming. This place was great. A little rougher than a four or five star resort, but by no means a dive. The fridge was well stocked, the bathroom was great, all the towels and bedding were clean. We had a balcony room, which was lovely. The breakfast was great and staff were really helpful.

The pictures for the hotel do not match reality. The hotel was very run down and poorly maintained. Tiles were coming off the pool, steel was rusting, bathrooms mouldy, tv reception was on and off for my 12 nite stay. Pastries n bed were covered in fruit flies n bees at breakfast, some of the dishes were cold because the flames underneath the bain marie had gone out. It took me at least 3 goes to get anything fixed in my room or my keycard reprogrammed to open my door because the staff speak very little English. And the hotel is full of Russians. There were no instructions in the room on how to use the tv/dvd, how to contact reception or any info about the hotel services. The wifi was down for nearly 24 hrs and slow and again it took me two goes to see what was happening with the wifi. The breakfast has a good range of food except for the flies! Location is the best thing about the hotel. The gym was one treadmill, one crosstrainer n a multi exercise weights machine that was broken in a tiny room where they have pulled the tv out! There is no value for money at this hotel. I would never stay there again. Waste of money. The pool area had no umbrellas to provide shelter and only 8 lounges for a hotel that caters for hundreds....... Eight!!! Ridiculous. Don't stay here. Spend your money wisely and do the better resorts! Agoda had good reviews for this hotel and now i wonder if they were dodgy planted reviews!!! This hotel needs to up their game and spend money on their staff for English lessons.
