“Stunning luxury theme hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

This was our 3rd trip to the Indigo Pearl, for good reason. The hotel continues to be absolutely fantastic in all categories: Excellent room (we chose the private pool pavilion), very comfortable bed, lovely grounds & pool and great food. It's also a great hotel for a family (we had our 2 year old son with us). Thank you very much, again!

Room Tip: Private pool pavilions are excellent!

We arrived at night and after an excellent and smooth reception we were shown to our room which was a deluxe balcony. The hotel is themed and is very different to any style hotel that I have stayed in!!! Very modern fittings in the style of an old mining works!! Whilst different it works, we are at the hotel in the bar and the food was varied and a high standard. The rooms were spotless and ours had a bath on the balcony with a large daybed. We stayed in the hotel around one of the two adult only pools which was great with a swim up bar. Breakfast was buffet and had a huge range of food of a very good standard. The private beach was small but of a good standard. Walking out at night had a number of restaurants and bars within a couple of minutes walk. Plenty of choice so a very good start for 3 nights stay.

Smooth check-in and check-out. Staff is courteous and helpful. We arrived early and after a tiresome journey it is always a nice first impression to find your room ready upon arrival. Rooms are very convenient, spacious, quiet and clean. Internet is working perfectly throughout the hotel. Breakfast buffet offers a good choice though when staying for a longer period it is always nice to have an extra suggestion or topic of the day just for a change.
Breakfast seating allocation was sometimes confusing or non-existing but tables are spaced out nicely.
Travelling with a 12 year old we had to use the pool area for families with children but it was often a long search and wait for a place to sit or lie down.
We brushed up our diving skills with the Sea Bees Diving at the hotel. The members are friendly, very professional, kept us safe and we had a wonderful dive.
The food at the hotels restaurants is good. The location of the hotel allows you to walk out for nice local seafood. A possibility for Indigo to keep guests dining in would be to offer a different cuisine, basic dishes, but bearing in mind good quality, for when guests need a break from Thai food. We quite often visit Phuket for short trips and would return.

We stayed here before and after a scuba diving trip through Myanamar and the Similan Islands, so can only comment on the two full days and evening we spent there. We stayed overnight in one of the pool suites and from checking in to checking out the experience was fantastic. The room was beautiful and after a long trip from the UK it was nice to have your own pool to relax in. We ate at the Tin Mine restaurant and the food was lovely, although service was a tad slow, but always friendly as Thailand always is.
On our return we stayed there just on a day rate. We tried to arrange this from the UK but they said we could just arrange when we arrived (luckily we had e-mail evidence of this). When we checked out for our diving trip, we tried to book a room for our retrn only to be told it was full for the date we wanted. After a lot of to-ing and fro-ing, and a hard copy of the e-mail evidence we had, we finally managed to book in for our return. Again, we had a lovely room, and staff were wonderful as they had been on our first evening there. We had a lovely lunch by the pool, staff and service was great. We ate in the Tin Mine again, and again, the service was a bit slow. When we finally got our order and some chips (fries) for the table they were really cold. They were changed no problem, and to be really fair, I think this is the only thing I can complain about as the whole experience was lovely.
We've stayed in Thailand quite a few times and I love the laid back atmosphere of Nai Yang compared to larger resorts like Karon, Khao Lak, Patong etc. You can walk to the quiet beach from the hotel and the hotel actually has it's own private part of the beach (or at least looking out over the beach) and there are little supermarkets, bars, restaurants in walking distance of the resort. Would I stay here again? Absolutely!

Room Tip: Pool rooms are amazing if you can stretch to it and very private. If you have difficulty walking ask...

September 2014 saw our 6th visit, and there were a few issues, which I really wanted to deal with via email when I got home, so chose to wait to do this review. There were a few things, but it didn't spoil our holiday even though the birthday breakfast surprise booked by my hubby as a surprise for me didn't happen. The beauty products are not great and a shellac manicure that cost double the price of London chipped and wore after 2 days, trivial though it seems, it was a birthday treat day at at the spa. Small other issues which I won't go into to much as it didn't spoil the overall stay and them aside the staff at indigo are just the best people ever! I have to add that the kindness is 2nd to none, my husband had an accident before we left the uk and ended up on crutches, we arrived to find our room was on the first floor and upon seeing my husband Katie the wonderful Russian lady at reception, upgraded us to a D Buk suite ground floor, and also as a little treat as we married there years before. However this brings me to feedback, that was asked for, and I was never contacted. Upon leaving I didn't just fill out a guest relations form, I wrote a long letter detailing my concerns, and asking to be contacted via email for further discussion. As what I consider to be a bit of a regular ish guest I fully expected to be contacted. It never happened! I am so surprised, which leads me to the notion, that the guest relations manager never actually reads the feedback forms? So after a gruelling few months and a bone marrow transplant, we find ourselves planning for the earliest date we can travel back to Nai Yang. November 2015, and we can't wait. There will be 7 of us, we are treating our family for their support, do I book 3 rooms at Indigo? I really want to, but the last few reviews and the lack of response to my feedback form and accompanying letter, makes me wonder if we should maybe look at a villa or The other decent alternative the dewa? We spend a lot of money here, go to the wonderful Sunday brunch, which I cannot fault in anyway, shame it wasn't on in Sept. And we spend hours at the swim up bar spending oodles on yummy cocktails, but upon arrival in September it was closed and we were so disappointed, particularly as two days later the army moved in on the beach and tore down all the alternative sea view cocktail places and shops etc. I understand they had to close this for renovation in readiness for high season, but they didn't advise our travel agent, nor contact us by email, which they had the address to do so. I really want to stay at our special place again. And would like to be assured someone actually took the time to read my feedback, it was constructive and also included many compliments for exemplary service and particular members of staff. One of which has sadly left and let me tell you, Apple you will be missed. Come on indigo, do your stuff, I had the pleasure to once meet the daughter of the owner, who I know would want to know his regular ish, and all other guests get the best from Indigo, as it truly can be a magical place.

Dear Tracy,

Warm greetings from the team at the Indigo Pearl Phuket.

Thank you for staying with us 6 months ago and for beeing loyal to us for many years.

All our guest comments are read by the management and if possible answered by the email provided. That you haven't got any feedback can only be explained by some internal error that have to be investigated.
In the mean time, we would like to ask you to send us your details to michiel@indigo-pearl.com or christoph@indigo-pearl.com for further feedback.

During the less busy season like in August/September and earlier, we indeed do renovations to tidy the facilities for the high season, the pool issue was an emergency repair as there was water leaking, we were not able to inform travel agents or guests on such a short notice before arrival.
However, major renovations are scheduled long in advance and travel agents and guests are and will be informed before arrival.

Since November is the beginning of the busy season, we would like you to contact Khun Kamontip, our Reservations Manager at kamontip@indigo-pearl.com for a tailor made offer.

We would love to welcome you back for your 7th visit and wish you a Happy Thai New Year.

Warm regards
The Indigo Pearl Team

Stayed here with a friend a couple of years ago now , this hotel is the height of travelling luxury rooms are spacious and very clean ,food is of a very high standard . and the grounds are immaculate. there are a few swimming pools on the complex as the complex is split into three differing accomadations browse the website and decide which is your preference ,the grounds back onto the beach which is alive at night and food is cheap and plentiful . this hotel I would recommend and definitely visit again Superb

Room Tip: Choose the suites on the ground floor by the lake restaurant

Just back from 3rd visit to Indigo Pearl and had a great time, and would have given 5 stars but for reasons likely outside the control of Indigo Pearl. The last 2 visits have been a great get-away for couples, but this visit there were many more children. Which is obviously fine - but as a childless couple I think for a relaxing get-away we will try somewhere else in future. I'm not sure if the extra children were due to the time of year of this visit (similar to previous visits) or if that is the direction Indigo Pearl is moving in with marketing. Although not an issue around the adult only pools, at breakfast there were many children running around unsupervised (eg a 6 year old using the quite dangerous toaster on their own) but, unbelievably in my opinion, parents to think it's appropriate to allow their child to use a potty on the floor at the breakfast table next to other diners, then carry the full potty weaving through tables to the toilets. Disgusting!

Also, the beach has lots of rubbish on it and there does not appear to be any litter picking service. I live by a beach that has a daily tractor dredge each morning to keep it clean. If this even occurs at the Indigo Pearl beach it is not effective.

Also, since our last visit apparently the Thai government have stopped beach restaurants and bars being able to operate, so they are all a street back which detracted from the evening food experience.

On the plus side, room was great, service from staff great, grounds immaculately kept, good gym and nice pool.

Sadly, I have to bid farewell to Indigo Pearl!

Room Tip: 3222 is a nice room at the end of row so extra window so brighter, not near kids pool so is quiet

Dear drmark,

Warm greetings from the Indigo Pearl Phuket Team.

Thank you very much for your recent stay with us and for sharing your feeback.

At the moment we have quite a lot of families in the resort as there are still easter holidays in some parts of the world. The Indigo Pearl strives to cater for all kinds of guests, families, couples, singles, conventions, etc.

Regarding the public beach, as a hotel operator we are doing daily beach cleanings on a strech of beach located nearby the exit of our beach side lounge exit gate. Unfortunately the government is not very helpfull to do their part to keep the area tidy.

In the restaurants we will pay detailed attention to the points you have mentioned, thank you very much for pointing this out.

We are sad to read that you will not come back, but hope you will change your mind by choosing a period with no school holidays.

All team members are happy to read that you enjoyed the resort it self, the teams services and your room.

Warm regards
The Indigo Pearl Team
