“Amazing hotel with fantastic service for a wedding”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Stayed here last week for my sisters wedding. Lalida - the wedding organiser was fantastic on and before the day. She helped plan every little detail and we were very appreciative. Little touches like calling up the weather bureau to see if more rain was on its way to determine if the location was inside or outside definitely helped the day go smoothly.

When we checked in, we were a large group of 15 who got off the same flight. Fresh cold towels and a welcoming cocktail were greatly appreciated after a 9 hour flight. The check in process was quite simple. The rooms were amazing. I stayed ina Premium Pearl Suite and the bathtub on ym balcony was giant and had a stunning view. The walk in wardrobe was huge and the bathroom was clean and nicely furnished.

Breakfast was amazing. The noodle station was m favourite part. I especially liked the thai currys etc that changed daily for breakfast. The egg station is the same as all the other egg stations. I also loved the cured meats/smoked salmon section to the side.

Black Ginger was lovely. Some of the dishes were amazing (the fried prawns with the leaves) and some were ordinary (chicken and cashew nuts). The service was a bit off - having to order drinks three times before they came and ordering a mocktail however it came with alcohol twice was a bit dissapointing. I think it's a nice experience but a tad on the expensive side. For dinner with 3 cocktails was about 80 AUD.

The design of the hotel is fantastic. It pays heritage to the tin mine background of the area. It's a shame some of the restaurants along the beach have been removed but we were still able to find some great choices along the strip.

I've visited Phuket many times and stayed at many hotels and resorts but staying at Indigo Pearl was an experience lasts for a long time. Bill Bensley really did a great job in creating such a chic and beautiful resort. My villa was huge, space wise. Bedroom was so nice with a very comfortable bed and spacious working area. Nice and clean bathroom area. Also the living room lied seperately from the bedroom area and has its own spa, sauna, and steam room! Never experienced resort with this before. I have a huge swimming pool and relaxing area also. This resort really blown me away with all the facility and services they offered to the guests! Will return here again one day.

Writing this review a little "late", as I am just getting to some older photos.

My girlfriend (now wife) spent a long weekend at the Indigo Peal in July 2011, it was just a quick get away from HK but what an amazing experience (from the airport shuttle van to the pools and a game of pool that seemed to never end). The long weekend felt even longer!

We booked some trips through the front desk (may not be the most cost effective), but we loved the elephants, monkeys, and snorkeling!

The real treat was the hotel itself - we had a balcony room with outdoor day bed & bath tub that enticed you into lounging the day away, just to make a brief outing to the pool for happy hour. The design of the grounds kept everything feeling very private while the design of the hotel in general was a great departure from your usual 5 star hotels.

To this day, probably the most enjoyable meal I have had was right outside the hotel on the beach at Phen's Restaurant Bar & Coffee - not the best meal ever, not the most exotic location, but it was great Thia food that lived up to the "dirt cheap" lore in a remarkable setting.

My wife and I are looking for an excuse to return and would do so in a heart beat!

(Notes - yes its not on the beach, unless your are a beach die hard this won't be an issue. yes it is on the west coast and "closer" to the airport - but unless you want to live it up in Phuket town then don't worry as there is lots to do around the hotel)

Room Tip: There are multiple pools, if your a couple make sure to ask for a room that is near the adults only...

We came as guests for a wedding being held at the resort and would not usually stay at a huge property like this but had a really enjoyable time.

I requested a quiet room on a high level and was given exactly that. The view from the room was amazing. Our room (D-Buk suite) was huge, clean and comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was how heavy and loud the toilet door was and that it had huge gaps!

The gym was well equipped and pools were beautiful. We ate at most of the restaurants and all food was great. Black Ginger was a nice experience but very pricey. I had advised the staff on arrival to the restaurant of my food allergy which they took note of, however 2 dishes arrived with the specified ingredient still included. They were very apologetic though and the chef personally came out to the table to bring the freshly cooked replacement dishes.

I would highly recommend their cooking classes! Ann was a wonderful instructor and made it one of our highlights of the trip. They run the classes daily but if you book for a Mon/Wed/Fri you also have the opportunity to go to the markets to buy the ingredients before the class.

Room Tip: If you don't mind stairs, request a room on the third level for the views alone. Our room was in...

The hotels unique design is what sets it aside from the norm and in a good way. The rooms are extremely well done and comfortable, breakfast is very good and the surrounding beach area with small eating houses and bars make for a great hotel experience.

It would be remiss of me not to mention the fantastic gardens and pool areas within the hotel grounds. highly recommended.

Disclaimer: Our review and comments are based on our personal experience and what we have encounter and tried during our stay. Some activities or restaurants aren’t reviewed because we didn’t tried them.

This was the first time that we travelled to Phuket and we have decided, upon advice of our Tour Operator (Connections Belgium), to book at the Indigo Pearl Resort for our 2nd Wedding Anniversary (Oct 4 – Oct 11).

We have arrived at Phuket Airport on a Saturday evening (8:00pm) and was surprised because our luggage’s have been intentionally left by Etihad at the Abu Dhabi airport and it will only arrive on the next evening (on Sunday at 8:00pm). A very unacceptable situation because apparently this happens most of the times (fortunately for Etihad, they take all responsibility for the transfer of the luggage’s (airport to hotel) cost free).

Our vacation didn’t started as we hoped, we were very irritated due to the situation but upon arrival at the hotel, the receptionist (trainee) was very helpful and understanding. We have received a welcome drink and cold face towel to freshen up. Then we were brought to our room (Premium Pearl Bed Suites) via golf cart.

The reception team was very alert and always on full service during our whole stay. We have been able to comment on this because there were some situation during our stay that could have been a disaster.
1. Room 3223 is a room situated on Block N (near the Infinity Pool) and the beach. This also means that the only remaining bar on the beach walk is quite near Block N. Every night until at least 3:00am there are music sounds/noise (bass).

2. The reception team was also informed that we had two noisy room neighbors, on each side of the room 3223 (talking out loud on the terrace until 4:00am).

ð So for those who intended to have some quiet time, forget the rooms in this Block => Room Advice : Block P (near the Adult Pool Bar), we had the room 3242.

ð Due to these different situations, the reception team have been aware and immediately proposed us an alternative : Room Changed (They managed to change our room but we have insisted that the new room should also have a nice view, so don’t hesitate to check the proposed room first to be sure to have a room that suits you).

[Rooms & Housekeeping] :

On the two rooms that we have stayed in (3223 (Block N) & 3242 (Block P)), both of the ladies from the Housekeeping (Khun Doll & Khun Heng) did their job very well with a small remark though concerning the back wall of the bed (in the walking closet) there are always dust that are visible on the wall but other than that, they were efficient.

The rooms we had were great, very spacious, many amenities (hair-dryer, shampoo, shower gel and lotion smells heavenly, etc.). A free beach bag and flowers on the bed welcomed us. Upon request, we also received toothbrushes with toothpaste.

On both rooms, some details have to be updated such as the wall plugs, leakage under the sink, volume button in the bathroom.

Concerning the hotel itself, very nice and original. A good way to expose the mine tradition in Nai Yang. Everywhere you go, the tin-mine detail is present! Oh and there’s WIFI all over the resort which is a plus.

Cleanliness all over the public area is a debate, certain staircases and paths are cleaned but others aren’t which could be dangerous especially after it rained (slippery).

[Food & Beverages] :

We have tried on our first night a room service, it arrived very quick and it was a generous amount and very delicious. Khun Oak & Khun Plam from the Food & Beverage team were very helpful, polite and always smiling every time we passed by each other on the resort.

There are 3 pools (2 for adults and 1 children allowed) that enable the clients to have some options. They also offer a glass of cold water and a fruit popsicle which is a nice touch especially when it’s very hot.

There are 3 restaurants at the hotel (Tine Mine, Rivet Grill, Black Ginger). We particularly dined at the Black Ginger for our wedding anniversary. The service was impeccable and very professional (special orchids and flowers on our table), as for the food, it was lovely but quite pricy (quality & price equivalent to European dishes & prices). The atmosphere was very romantic although quite dark (intended atmosphere) and at the end of the service, the chef went to all the tables to have a small chat with the remaining clients!

We also went to the Rebar, at that time there was a live band, very cozy and jazzy feeling. We have ordered with our drinks a plate of sushi, it was delicious! A free side-dish was also offered (always a nice touch from the service team)! Tongkah Tine Syndicate, a great place to hang around with pool tables and even a place to play “pétanque”.

The buffet breakfast offers a lot of choices (English, American, French, Thailand breakfasts) and a whole lot of fresh fruits and pressed juices. All the service team during the breakfast buffet are always available for every call & request.

Quick info, in general all over Phuket (at least at all restaurants & bars we have tested) there’s always a 10% addition to the bill (for the service) every time you order food and beverages (even in the hotel).

[SPA, Shops] :

Coqoon SPA : We have received a 50% discount due to our wedding anniversary stay (luckily for us because the treatments were quite expensive). The service wins all the spa massages we had tried in Phuket. We were given a form and there are options to choose areas we would like to focus on, and areas we want to avoid. The options are then confirmed again by the therapists while they are washing our feet. We had the 2hours oil massage. It was divine. At the end of the session, we have received a plate of fresh pineapple and Thai tea.

Shop : Nice to have one, especially because they are selling almost everything that are available in the bedroom, although quite expensive and not a lot of choices.

Overall, it’s a great hotel with lots of character and a great service staff. For our Wedding Anniversary, we have received a 50% discount for a SPA treatment, room amenities (flowers on the bed upon arrival/glass of champagne/anniversary cake (2 hearts & 1 big cake)/fruit basket), late check-out (4:00pm). If you want a resort far from all the busyness of the city center, near a national preserved park (Sirinath Park) and with a beautiful natural beach (Nai Yang Beach), this is the place to stay. Be aware though that due to the Thai army interventions in the town itself (though not the fault of the resort clearly), there aren’t a lot of things to do outside the resort and since it’s quite far from the tourist center (Patong, Phuket Town, etc), and other tourist activities, the travel price can easily increase (for example : Taxi trip could cost 1400 Baht Thai (+/- 35 eur)).

Room Tip: Premium Pearl Bed Suites : Block P (Calm with a pool view)
