“This is a very good hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

High standards of facilities, helpful and pleasant staff and Restuarant. We enjoyed an extremely comfortable stay. Although more expensive than the perfectly good mid range hotel we stayed at In Nai Yang, Dewa was worth the additional cost. Dewa makes you feel a little special, so even though Nai Yang has a lovely beach and several excellent restaurants, we found that we spent increasing amounts of time at Dewa. Fly direct to Phuket, stay near to the airport and enjoy this really fine hotel to relax.

If you are looking for a truly relaxing venue in Phuket, Thailand then look no further than Dewa. The air-conditioned apartments with individual balconies are 5 star in every sense and the hotel in one-bedroom four-poster accommodation with outside shower and own private pool the ultimate in luxury.
The staff could not be more friendly and helpful, and the restaurant, situated by one of the hotel's pools, serves excellent cuisine at very reasonable prices.
The resort has two wonderful outdoor pools, an air-conditioned gym and a Spa offering treatments at very reasonable prices.
As part of the complex there is the Bamboo Bar some hundred yards from Nai Yang Beach and offering Happy Hours twice each evening! There is also a small cafe Bread and Butter which serves wonderful breakfast and lunchtime snacks either to take away or to eat in the air-conditioned premises, with very friendly service.
Dewa has its own private sunbeds complete with red umbrellas on the beach which is very quiet and offers lovely walks along the shore. It is also a very safe place to swim in the relaxing warm sea.
Dewa is also situated at the entrance to the Sirinath National Park which affords other relaxing walks.
Nai Yang is a lovely little village offering lots of little shops, supermarkets, massage parlours and restaurants etc. At night the beach is transformed into open-air dining at the many Thai restaurants along the beach all at very reasonable prices.
An absolute bonus is that Dewa is just a five minute taxi ride to Phuket International Airport and because of the location of the flight path there is no disturbance from aircraft which take off over the sea.
I loved every minute of my two week stay at Dewa and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a totally relaxing, peaceful holiday amongst the very gentle and helpful Thai people.

Room Tip: From my experience all apartments are similar as they all have their own balcony and each of the fou...

Stayed at the Dewa in November 2012 and stayed in a pool villa for 2 nights. The resort itself is very fresh, clean and has a relaxing ambience. Situated right across the road from the beach, it is within easy reach of restaurants and bars. The beach is really nice to walk along and it was nice and quiet, a haven away from the hustle and bustle of Patong. The villa was very spacious and we loved the private pool and outdoor bathroom. The way the villas are set up you have complete privacy and feel like your in your own little paradise.
The breakfast at the restaurant overlooking the pool was lovely, you can choose from a small but satisfying array of juices, cereals, fruits, soups etc and you can order from the menu (included) of the hot dishes, bacon, eggs, pancakes, pastries etc.
The Spa was very nice and my friend and I had a massage and facial.
We would definately stay here again.

This is a very nice good sized resort and we have nothing to complain about regarding food, service, rooms etc. If you want to experience the real Thailand however, get away from Phuket as fast as you can - we spent a month islandhopping down through the Andaman sea in little bungalows on secluded beaches and this experience by far exceeds anything you will find in Phuket, luxury or not.
One thing - we stayed in a family suite with 2 bathrooms and if you have a bathroom for children it is really not very wise to have porcelain soap dispensers and tile floors - AND then to charge for the replacement when it slips out of the hands of a 5 year old and breaks! Either replace the dispensers with something more childfriendly or calculate the losses into the already skyhigh Phuket-prices!!!

Thank you very much for posting a review for us following your recent stay.
We are glad that your overall stay had been satisfactory. We also appreciate your feedback and will certainly look into changing the material of the dispenser in due course.
On your future visit to other parts of Southern Thailand, should you have to transit via Phuket, we hope to welcome you back as we are conveniently located close to the airport.
warm regards, Lillian

This was third time that we have stayed as a family at Dewa. We keep going back because all of the family feel so comfortable there and we love the location and facilities. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and we like having an on-site gym and spa (so all members of the family are catered for). We love being able to walk down to the beach within 2 minutes and we like the fact that Nai Yang is a quiet and safe place to swim with the kids. We are already planning our next trip later this year.

The rooms are spacious and clean, the restaurant and its staff are very good, and we love the 'garden' feel of the grounds.

I cant really fault the place - hence we keep returning! I guess this is the best recommendation that I can give - maybe if we could find some serious faults we might go elsewhere, but we cant find any and we do love being at Dewa. We are all already looking forward to our next trip to wonderful Dewa!

Room Tip: We stayed in the 'family suite' - a 2 bedroom apartment (3rd floor) -which was great to have...

We stayed in Dewa for 4 days and moved there from south of Phuket. We were loooking for something relaxing, not crowded where we would enjoy good beach, beautiful sunsets and good meal and we found all that. First of all, the location of the hotel is one of the best you can find in Phuket. Before moving to the north I had chance to get to know other parts of Phuket and it was dissapointing: crowded, dirty, avarage beaches. In contrast Nai Yang area is a real gem: tranquil fishing village with beautifull sceneries, traditional thai boats and fishermen selling their catch early morning. The location of the hotel is very convinient from different points: 1) one min away from the hotel is an excellent white sand long beach (in fact, it is ab 20 km long) with free sunbeds and it is not crowded. After 5 pm is low tide and it is nice to stroll along the beach looking for shells and corals (there are lots of them), some colourful fish are in the waters 2) many restaurants along the beach where you can sit back and enjoy the sunset and fish is fresh and delicious, prices are not high 3) national park with pine trees spreads along this 20 km beach and that makes the air fresh and not so hot durig the day 4) if you like walking you can walk along the beach towards the airport and get to Mai khao beach- peopleless beach with white sand and and turquoise waters. This is undoubtedly the best beach in Phuket, I walked up about 5 km every morning and it was realy enjoyable 5) there is a big temple in the town with nice well-groomed garden (10 min walk from the hotel)
In terms of the hotel amenities everyting was excellent: good beakfast though not much choice, very clean, giant good decorated rooms in appartments style- with kitchen with all facilities, 2 bedrooms, big bathroom. Other people there experienced problems with hot water, we didnt, everthing was excellent in this sense. The territory is big and green with blossoming flowers and snging birds. There are two big swimming pools with sunbeds and bar nearby. In general the hotel is not crowded and for those who are irritated with Russians presense all over Phuket, this is a good place, as I notice only one more Russian family (except us:) there. The hotel staff is very welcoming, friendly and speaks good English.
I would recommend this hotel without hesitations.

We loved our stay at Dewa Resort, Nai Yang.

We spent four nights in a pool villa. The room was beautiful, and the private pool was fantastic, so nice to step out the door and straight into your own pool.

We loved the outdoor bath and shower, although the only slightly negative point for us was that the hot water supply could have been a little more reliable.

The resort grounds were lovely and peaceful. The 'public' pools inviting, and never crowded while we were there. In fact, if it weren't for seeing the other guests at breakfast I would have been left wondering if we were almost the only people there. This made for a wonderfully relaxing stay – exactly what we had hoped for.

The staff at the resort were always friendly and looked like they were enjoying their job.

The beach, across the road from the resort, was excellent, and again, peaceful. In fact, having said that we were looking for a relaxing holiday, Nai Yang proved to be an ideal location. The beach restaurants were superb, and very reasonably priced. Nai Yang is not party central, but that was one reason we chose it.

Dewa Resort was better than we had hoped and an exceptional value at the price we paid.

We are looking forward to returning as soon as possible.
