“Nice hotel between Switzerland and Germany”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2012

The hotel is located in a nice area on the Bodensee part of the lake of Constanz. The SPA is highly equipped and confortable and the massage equipe is professional and kind. The hotel building is new, rooms are big and clean and the level of the food is of high quality, including breakfast, sandwiches and dessert. If you book in advance SPA treatment, be sure that they reserve you the time you prefer, as in our case they put us in the least confortable time of the day and though we were together not in the same slot of time.

We stayed at the Seehotel Am Kaiserstrand in early September for a weekend break. The location of the hotel is just perfect, right on the lake and within walking distance from the city of Bregenz. Our room was very nice and new with a great view on the Bodensee. The staff was also very helpful in providing information. Breakfast was amazing, lots of choices. The spa is clean and quite nice.

Room Tip: get a lakeside rooms, view is quite stunning

Staff friendly but a bit disorganized. Restaurant mediocre, room acceptable. The hotel has the charm of a train station.
It is situated between Lochau and Bregenz with a train station right in front of the hotel. Nothing else around a part form the main street connecting the 2 towns.

The room we reserved was with sea view, the room we got was with partial see view.
When we ask to have another room they offered one with a view but they warn us that a marriage scheduled for the evening would keep us awake.. So we stayed in the old room but we did not get anything that would compensate for our loss.

When I ask for the bill it took them ages to clarify some of the items on the bill.

If I go back I would try something else.

The Seehotel tops it all! It's right at the beach of Lake Constance on the other side of the bay of Bregenz. I stayed in a king room with balcony. I had a full front view of the lake. The room is spacious, clean and held in earth colors. The bed is very comfy. The restaurant is on the lake on stilts. The food is excellent and fairly priced, the view is beyond description. I heaviliy recommed this hotel for a romantic weekend with your spouse.

We stayed for one night at this hotel during the Bregenzer Festspiele.
The hotel is on the shores of Lake Constance (Bodensee) and some of the rooms have a lovely view on the lake.
The hotel also has a sort of a boathouse by the lake with an informal restaurant on one floor and on the roof an area with chairs and parasols in order to sunbathe during the summer season. From the boathouse it is possible to directly swim into the lake.

The rooms are very nice, we had a "comfort room" which was very spacious, a small seating area and a very good sized bathroom.

The restaurant is very good, the food was lovely and the presentation fantastic.

The hotel has also a wellness area with a great pool, a gym area, 2 different saunas, hammam and a very big relaxing room with nice views over the lake.

An interesting tip if you are going to stay at this hotel and going to the see the Opera on the lake. Just opposite the hotel an hour before the opera starts, there is boat that leaves to bring people to the other side of the lake. The cost of the ticket is only 9 € and includes a glass of bubbly wine. The short trip on this boat is really a nice experience and I would recommend it to anyone!!!

My sister insists the bed is a dream. She usually likes hard beds, but has foud the soft bed like sleeping on a cloud.

The hotel is only 3 moths old and still has a little shaking out to do.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

The upgrade to lake view comfort is definitely worth while. The balcony overlooking Lake Constance is fantastic. It was too cold to go ito the water, but we enjoyed the sunset and the view of the bath house.

Only drawback were the flies--especially pleasant in the restaurant

This brand new hotel far exceeded our expectations. The rooms were very well apointed ,larger than the average size with all the amenities. The food and beverage manager was. genuinely concerned about each guests stay and did anything to accomodate .The staff at the beachhouse were alot of fun and made us feel extremely welcome. The hotel manager Marina Albasi approached us many times to insure every thing was to our satisfaction .This hotel is real gem that needs to be discovered, after 24 days traveling Europe this hotel was by far the best
