Stayed at Harptree at the beginning of March as I was going to a wedding the next day. What a beautiful place to stay and what wonderful people who run Harptree. Really enjoyed my stay there and cant wait to book in again.

Room Tip: no matter what room you stay in you will love your experience!

Just spent a couple of nights at this elegant property surrounded by beautiful grounds. The bedroom and bathroom were large, warm and comfortable and the views amazing. Interesting and varied information was available both in the bedroom and the sitting room set aside for guests use. Breakfast served in a large, family dining room, covered all requirements and was most enjoyable. Guests were made very welcome. There were no time restrictions and guests were encouraged to wander in the gardens and to use the sitting room as required .. very welcome when the weather is poor and appointments are later in the day.

We were recommended to stay at Harptree and were not disappointed.
We arrived on Sunday afternoon and were shown to our lovely room-yellow room.
We then had a lovely home made tea and cake. There is a log fire in the hall or a seperate lounge upstairs .
The rooms are lovely and spacious .
The home cooked breakfast were both varied on what was on offer and the quality of the food was excellent.
Linda and her husband were helpful in places to visit
A place up recommend .

Just returned from a two night stay in The Treehouse at Harptree Court, booked through Canopy under the Stars. It was a surprise birthday trip for my wife and the Treehouse definitely had the wow factor! It's an amazing place to stay and very conveniently located between Bath and Bristol with lots of nice eating options a short drive away.

You are taken across a field when you arrive to the treehouse itself, and walking up the stairs across the wood walkway you enter the house itself. It's much bigger than I expected, with a small kitchen (you are given a cook-it-yourself breakfast pack but can eat in the main house), wood burning stove (great for a cosy night in), a big copper bath more than big enough for two opposite the bed and lots of nice touches throughout, from the lovely decor to the amazing lemon cake and quality coffee and tea provided. It's nice to be able to look out at the surrounding nature, and the roof above the bed has a hole for star-gazing.

Neither were a problem for us at all but note you will need to walk across a field to get to the treehouse and it gets very dark at night (they provide a heavy duty maglite so you can get around at night).

Lovely owners and top recommendations on the food as well, both the Pony and Trap and the local pub were great meals. All in all a great weekend.

Room Tip: Can't comment on anywhere else but the treehouse was amazing.

We spent a lovely night in the huge Rust room, comfortable, warm and quiet. Charles and Linda are wonderful hosts and greeted us as we arrived. Afternoon tea was served in the sitting room including Linda's homemade Lemon Cake. The grounds are vast and a joy to walk. Breakfast was delicious and made from local produce.

Room Tip: Rust room has lovely views of the rear gardens.

If you're here reading reviews because you're interested in staying in a treehouse, I can only say 'just book this one now'. Honestly, the Treehouse at Harptree Court is as wonderful as a treehouse experience could ever be. The treehouse itself has been designed, constructed and maintained to an immaculate standard - it's a joy to stay in and, as every comment in the guestbook says, you genuinely won't want to leave.

It's in a secluded little wooded area in the lovely grounds of Harptree Court and after you've been walked there when you arrive you're left entirely to your own devices, with a few lovely local breakfast ingredients, a delicious homemade cake, a pile of logs for the burner and a chess board for company. The surrounding area is beautiful for walks and other adventures but make sure you leave yourself as much time as possible to simply unwind in the treehouse itself - this is no normal hotel room in which you'll just want to return to sleep; the treehouse is a true destination of its own.

Linda and Charles couldn't have been more helpful and lovely hosts, leaving us to enjoy our privacy while also being there for us if we needed anything. I took my girlfriend (now fiancée) as a surprise and proposed to her there - she hasn't shut up about it since! An absolutely perfect place for a few days away. We can't wait to return.

Room Tip: The Treehouse truly is 'something else'.
