“Big burgers”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2012

Have been to many gourmet burger kitchens but this one was the best of all so had to write a review. Like nandos you go thetill to order your own food but the staff were so polite it seemed weird! the food cam promptly and i didnt have an issue with anything at all (for once!), i enjoyed every last scrap.

“second visit”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2012

I previously went with a friend the week before and had classic burger, skinny fries and can of drink which I enjoyed. Decided to return with my husband but second visit wasn't as good had run out of the canned drink so had very expensive glass of lemonade. think that £25 for couple of burgers 1 portion chips and 2 drinks a little excessive.Wouldn't rush back.

“Vile Under cooked burgers! We were all ill afterwards.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2012

Ive never been to any GBK but thought I'd give it a try.
Went here with 2 friends and all I can say is it was over priced, under cooked, and lousy staff (most of them)

I ordered a Mexicana (Med-Well) it came with black bean on the top which looked like sick! Cut into the burger and it was still bloody. Sent it back again asked for medium well and it came out black! Ate half of it and it just had no flavour.
Between the 3 of us we ordered 3 basic burgers, 3 fries, 3 drinks and 2 sides (halloumi and chick skews - which were gorgeous) and our meal came to £57! Definitely NOT worth the money!
One of the staff then came over to clear our plates, didnt even ask if we were finished jsut picked my plate up until i pointed out that the others were still eating she didnt say a word just grunted and walked away.

One good point was the girls working on the tills they we friendly and chatty.
Toilets didnt have any loo roll which we mentioned when we got there, we left 2 hours later after a good long chat, went to the loo before we left and still didnt have any loo roll and the toilets were a mess.

That night 2 of us felt sick, next morning we were sick and spent the rest of the day on the sofa or in the toilet (ill spare u the details)

Definately should still to TGI Fridays when you want a decent burger!
Its safe to say I will never visit a GBK again!!

“Should've gone to Wagamama...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2012 via mobile

Neither of us have ever been to a 'Gourmet Burger Kitchen' before. We won't be rushing back.
The restaurant was dark, depressing and fairly quiet. We only went here because there was a queue for Nandos (seriously...they're not that good...) and we have a toddler who was hungry. I got my own high chair off of the stack of them.
Food was okay, not amazing. Service was void of personality and as we were served by three different people we neglected to leave a tip.
Baby change facility was awful. Door locked (a member of staff had to go get a key), room was grubby and the unit itself had no strap so unsafe.
Watched manager be told a table was wobbling...and then proceeded to ignore her staff and seat people there anyway!!
