Owner description: Since Bluewater opened its doors on March 16, 1999, it has set the benchmark for the ultimate shopping and leisure experience and the rest as they say is retail history. Rising out of a former chalk quarry among 50 metre-high cliffs, Bluewater's striking architecture is simply unique. Located in Kent, traditionally known as the Garden of England, our overall site of 240 acres is surrounded by a 50 acre landscape of lakes, parkland and trees making it the perfect place for the whole family to enjoy. We have 300 stores, over 50 bars, restaurants and cafes along with 13,000 free car parking spaces attracting 28.1 Million visitors per annum. As well as offering a wide range of services, our team will endeavour to ensure that your Bluewater experience is fun, memorable and exciting. Bluewater's triangular design with a flagship store at each point - Marks & Spencer, John Lewis and House of Fraser - over two levels make shopping a breeze. In between the flagship stores are three distinct shopping malls boasting stylish stores along with restaurants, cafes and bars catering to every taste.

“Needs more shops”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

Lovely place to go for a day out as they have a few attractions, golfs , cinema etc and lovely places to eat tgi Fridays, Jamie's Italian and the usual fast food outlets , McDonald's KFC etc. but I think it's lacking more cheaper end shops. It has far too many high end priced shops which are lovely but I know for certain not everyone can afford them. Overall a lovely place for a day out shopping but needs more cheaper shops.

“Great!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2013

All of the shops are indoors, and there is a great variety of shops. There are outside play areas for children, such as crazy golf, boat rides and many more. It can get busy at times and the car park fills up quickly (Free parking).

“A GREAT PLACE TO SHOP AND RELAX”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

Bluewater, is not to far from us so, that is a bonus, as a lot of people travel from far and wide, from all over the country, to spend a day shopping in one of the countries largest Shopping Mails in Europe.
There are lot of really good shops, John Lewis, Marks and Spencers, House of Fraser, to name but three, there are also a lot of Restaurants and Bistros, where you can have a meal or just a snack, they have long opening hours, so there is plenty of time to do all you want.
It also ha s a Cinema, for those interested in this sort of thing. showing unto date movies.
They now also have an area for exhibitions, and I understand concerts etc, which I have not yet been to, but it looks and sounds very good.
Summing up, if you want a good day out in Kent, or are in England on holiday, and want to see what our shops are like, this is a very good venue, London is the only place in my opinion to be as good, but you have all the parking problems there, so the choice is up to you.

“Brilliant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2013 via mobile

Great variety if shops, cafes, restaurants and play areas for children. With a cinema too it really can be a day out for the family.
It's pretty magical there at Christmas time with an outdoor Christmas market and lovely decorations.
