This B&B was a little on the old side and falling apart to some extent. Our room anyway. The room was large enough but I would not really say really comfortable. It was chilly in the room, as it was damp outside from the rain. There was a heater but this is a large draughty old house. The bathroom was basic with a good heater to take the chill out. There was no locking your bedroom door as the doorknob was ready to fall off.
Breakfast was very basic. Orange juice, bread, croissants, jams and homemade yogurt. The coffee was not great.
The lady of the house, Mireille, was very accommodating and eager to give you any information that you needed regarding visiting the area, restaurants, etc. She gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner in the next town over, Mercury. The restaurant at Hotellerie de Val D'or was excellent. She made a reservation for us.
This B & B is not that far from Beaune but I do not know that this is the best area to stay in to explore the wine region. You are right in a village and can walk but do not eat at a restaurant called something "Admiral" in the town as the food was disgusting. This is the first time I can say that about a meal in France.
Mireille, with her charm makes up for the old feel of the B & B.
