“The Best Bed and Breakfest in France”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2014

My family and I stayed there in May, and were welcomed with open arms by the two owners. The estate is filled with yards full of flowers and hedges, and offers a true French countryside feel. In addition the owners have set out lawn chairs and furniture to help their guests enjoy the scenery. The house is beautiful and an architectural marvel in itself. The rooms are decorated fantastically down to the littlest detail, and offer an authentic French feel. Downstairs are a number of common rooms with a pool table and games. The bedrooms are roomy, have beautiful views and very comfortable beds. As mentioned, each room has updated bathrooms. The meals were marvellous, and the couple sometimes offers guests the opportunity to stay for dinner at the manor aswell. They make the largest accommodations to help satisfy dietary concerns, and are more than willing to go out of the way to help you. All of the food is fresh: homemade bread, croissants, jams, and dishes. The couple themselves are wonderful people and make every measure to make you feel at home. Their home is your home. I highly reccomend this bed and breakfast to anyone in the area, and cannot express how enjoyable your stay here will be.

We booked two nights at the Manoir de Graincourt in Derchigny (Dieppe) at the beginning of October and enjoyed our stay immensely. Our double room was spacious and clean, with a very comfortable bed. The manor house itself is spectacular and we loved the huge kitchen! Philippe and Anne-Lise were wonderful hosts, making us feel very much at home with their “my house is your house” approach. Philippe made us breakfast very early on our last day so we could make a good start and even pulled out maps to help us plan our route to Vimy and ultimately Amiens. The breakfasts were very good, especially the warm croissants and baguette served with a large variety of preserves made by Anne-Lise. We would recommend Manoir de Graincourt without hesitation!

The best place we have ever stayed! Recommend it to everyone.
It was perfect. There was nothing I could fault.
The bed was comfy. The house was beautiful and tastefully furnished. The wifi worked!!!!
Breakfast was homemade bread, homemade croissants and homemade jam.
Loved it.

We stayed here on 26th July for 1 night only as we arrived in France that day from Newhaven/Dieppe ferry. What a wonderful place - a typical Manoir. Owners very friendly and helpful, had even opened all the windows to get a through draught as it was very hot. Room clean, very French BUT with tea/coffee making facilities!! Lovely "salle de bain" with a great shower. We didn't realise they could provide dinner if pre-booked but they recommended a restaurant not too far away - Auberge des Gourmets - which was truly wonderful. Breakfast was taken altogether with a family of 3 from Holland and a French couple all seated round one table and very friendly. Plenty food and choice. Would recommend this Hotel to anyone who likes French style and class. Cost was 113 euros for 2 including breakfast.

Nice rooms, nice property, close to the port, nice food, if you like authentic Normandy cuisine, but for the enfants anglais not so tres bon, perhaps this was as much my fault for wanting to try something different (eating with the owners and a french couple also staying). This is where some improvement could be made to cater for the younger taste. If you want authentic then it is worth a try, just accept that monk fish liver is one of the things which help William defeat Harold all those years ago! Here's one in the eye.

i like the english humor !
in fact, I very often ask the parents what the children want to eat !
and I have always nuddles ou potatoes ready to cook ..
in that case, parents decided that the children would share the dinner of adults .. that is why they could taste the liver !
they were not obliged at all and there were shrimps and other things of course ..

may be they will never forget us just for that reason ... is that a good marketing ??
we also prepare on reservation light dinner or "basket "to take with on beach for exemple !

We loved the place at first glimpse and we felt pity at once that we would stay only for one night on our trip around Normandy. Philippe and Anne-Lise are wonderful hosts and they were more than just welcoming. The room was very clean and cosy. The garden is fantastic! The place in a whole is perfect if you seek for solitude and want to have rest from noisy megalopolis. It's ideal for countryside rest and very close to Dieppe.
I would surely recommend it to my friends and would return there at the first opportunity.

Philippe et Anne-Lise, merci pour votre hopitalité et gentillesse! Nous avons vraiment eu de très bon temps chez vous!

Room Tip: It's better to have a car.

with this sun, we are all enjoying the garden and the lights .
it is amazing to see how people enjoy relaxing here, have a drink or a meal after a good day on the beach or on bicycles as you did !!
our region has a lot to see; the sea; the gardens, the landscape and a lot of museums.
if you like to cycle, to swim or ot relax , you will find here what you need !
in the garden, seats everywhere and just the sound of birds ans sometimes cows!!
thank you for your words

We loved the Manoir. Phillippe and Anne Lise are kind, welcoming, and so attentive to everyone's needs as guests. Normandy is the region for good food, and Anne Lise is maybe the best chef in the region. The property is itself beautiful, and so is the surrounding area - the seaside is just a few kilometers away. When we were here the weather was perfect, but if it's rainy, the house is filled with lots of wonderful books. And of course, we had the happy surprise of meeting Marcel, the giant rabbit who lives in the yard.
