We stayed here based on other Tripadvisor reviews. We originally booked Room 3 but were upgraded to Room 2 to make room for a large group staying there as well. The room was very spacious and clean with a view of the street below. The bathroom was small but we liked that the shower actually had a curtain to avoid water spraying all over the bathroom, unlike all of the other places we stayed in Thailand. The value for staying in Kata was great! The restaurant downstairs is pretty good as well and you get 15% off while you're staying there. The owner is Terje, a Norwegian chess player, who is usually around and is very nice and knowledgeable about the area. The guesthouse is right in the Kata Night Bazaar so weekends its pretty loud outside at night so you might not want to stay there if you sleep early, but its very convenient if you want to go out to the bars. There's also an awesome massage place called Kata Day Spa across the street from the guesthouse that is pretty cheap, private, and the girls who work there are so so nice. Its also about a 15 minute walk from the beach. They also have free internet.
