Situated at the end of a short Cul-de-sac in the centre of Kata and only a short 5min walk to a beautiful curved long beach and a permanently warm turquoise sea.
I stayed here for 9 nights in October 2011, having left Bangkok, what a contrast. (No reflection on the later as each have their individualism and beauty).
This is a lovely hotel and very reasonably priced, the rooms are adequate in size, nicely furnished, with quiet modern air con, and a tv that works showing English channels . The room service and house keeping are excellent, towels and bed sheets changed daily. The staff are pleasant and helpful, most of whom speak good English.
It has full facilities, including a lovely outdoor swimming pool which was clean and refreshing.
I chose to have a street facing room, which I was warned by the receptionist could be affected by outside noise, well, it was, but not unpleasant noise, although to some they may have found it intrusive, just down to personal choice.
The street noise consisted mainly of a mobile DJ unit on a specialised Tuk Tuk type vehicle churning out continuous 80/90s western pop hits. This was in position every night from about 8pm till midnight at the entrance to the cul-de-sac. It certainly livens up the street.
At first it was annoying, but after a few hours I found quite enjoyable. Just a bit repetitive.
I did not eat at the hotel as I spent much of my time out and about, but I understand there was an excellent variety of good food, both Thai and Western.
Every type of shop, service and restaurant is available within the immediate area of the hotel.
The sea and beach are just magic, and totally safe, for both adults and children. Several sea sport type activities are available, for hire, including jet ski's, and beach furniture.
