Firstly, it's not where the TA map currently says it is. It is on the Khoktanod Rd in Kata Beach. A taxi driver should be able to take you there by restaurant name.
It is a classic thai roadside restaurant. No frills, and not intended to appeal to tourists. The food is fresh, vibrant, quick, delicious and cheap. Expect to pay a total of THB200 per head ex drinks max. This is half the price of most restaurants in this town, and yet the food is so much better than all of the touted tourist places rated much higher on TA. Yes, you could criticise it for a lack of beachfront ambience that many other thai restaurants offer, although not in Kata - however, the food is unbeatable at any price. This is the real deal. If you are interested in real thai food, get in a taxi and come here.
