We contacted Cortijo La Haza late on Saturday to arrive on Sunday for one night only (we had found the establishment in Sawdays). Bernadette (who now owns La Haza with Patrick) offered us dinner, which we accepted purely for ease. Should we return we will certainly take the dinner option as it was superb - Patrick is an excellent chef!
The house is gorgeous - it was lovely to lie on the grass under the shade of a pretty tree... the pool was available... every comfort attended to (even a very late breakfast!). We couldn't have asked for more.
Highly recommended to anyone who needs some head chill and a handy place to explore the beautiful countryside.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- A beautifully restored 250-year old olive cortijo, hidden away amongst the olive groves south of Iznajar, with stunning, ever-changing views of the Sierra Nevada and the valleys. 6-star service, home from home, a little corner of paradise are but a few items of praise we have received. A warm welcome awaits is our motto, but we may need to change it soon to: so good you won't want to leave! ... more less
