“Great holiday, just perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2012

Great place to stay. We did some sight seeing and some lazing around the pool perfect combination. Food excellent and great honesty bar where you could help yourself just like home. Rooms very comfortable and Sheela and julie were so helpful on places to see, restaurants bars etc. Loved the area and the peace and quiet, views from the terrace spectacular. A great value place to stay, real little gem.

We had a great time at Brazos Abiertos, secluded accommodation but not isolated. The bar in the nearby village of La celada is a must, he closes when you decide to leave and the little shop is so cute. We were made very welcome by the girls and nothing was too much trouble. Loved the yurt where we had pamper treatments and Reikki. Donkeys soooo funny. Plenty of room in the house to find a quiet corner and we spent many evenings watching the sun go down on the huge terrace, I don't think there could be better views in the whole of Andalucia. Food great all home cooked by Julie and in the mornings we were able to collect lettuce and tomatoes grown by sheila, you don't get fresher than that. Rooms great and free sensible size bottles of shampoo and shower gel in the wet rooms. Staying at Brazos Abiertos is a wonderful experience far more than a usual holiday B&B. Hope we get to that part of the world again.

Room Tip: we were in the spring room which was bright and airy and our friends in the autumn room which got a...

We have recently returned from yet another visit to Brazos Abiertos. We said we would return. We had the most lovely time just as before. The setting is amazing with incredible views and the feeling of the whole hotel is very welcoming. Once again Julie and Sheelagh proved to be wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble. We came back feeling very relaxed with batteries recharged. We do not think that this was our last trip to rural Spain.

Fabulous base for touring Andalucia. Eight of us stayed at Brazos Abiertos
for a week whilst doing Spain. Apart from the major Spanish sights, which
are all within easy reach, Julie and Sheelagh advised us to see some great
places, such as El Torcal, Priego de Cordoba and they arranged a tour of a
local Olive Press for us. Food was great, rooms and beds
superb and could't have wanted more!

I organised a girls holiday at Brazos to celebrate my birthday. We had a great time, swimming, relaxing being pampered. Both girls are trained in Reiki and I personally had an amazing Reiki session with Sheelagh. As we had all four rooms Julie was able to cater for a special diet (we are all on a well known slimming diet) and we were able to choose our evening meals, the honesty bar is very cute, just put a picture of what you have on your room spike and help yourself, this alone made us feel so at home within minutes. Julie also showed us how to make a range of salad dressings that were so good and we tasted different olive oils. The views from the terrace have to be see to be believed. It was such a special time for me. We are going to go back either this winter or next as we have a Christmas shopping excursion planned with the girls who are organising a trip for us to buy all our presents, can´t wait.

Room Tip: I loved the summer room so bright and airy but the other girls rooms were lovely, all on a seasonal...

We visited Brazos Abiertos i June for a bridwatching holiday...fabulous. Bee Eaters just a 100 m down the road saw sop much, couldn´t have been better. We were out most days with Julie providing a packed lunch and then back to the house for a swim and then drinks on the terrace. Our evening meals were lovely, local food some grown at the house and cooked in a traditional way, excellent and greatv value for money. We particularily liked the honesty bar which made us feel very at home. Sheelagh and Julie willhelp you plan any visits and they even telephoned the local birdwatching expert to ask where we could see the most birds...We can´t praise the girls enough for their hospitality. An added bonus were the guests who were staying at the same time. Thanks for a great holiday we will be back!

Room Tip: all rooms are the same just look on the web site and choose which colour you prefer
