“Aussie hospitality at its best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

We stayed in Amore from 28th December for 9 days in the cottage. Susie met us on arrival, so welcoming and helpful. The cottage was very well equipt with lots of little extras. A washing machine and dryer which was a god send! The continental breakfast was included in the price and Susie kept us well stocked with lots of cereals, lovely fresh fruit, bread, fruit juice, yogurts and anything else you wanted. On two mornings we ate in the house itself and were treated to some fabulous Aussie breakfasts from Mark. We had lots of laughs with Mark and Susie, they are a wonderful couple and make you so welcome. We hope to stay friends with them for a very long time. If you get a chance to stay here you will not be disappointed.

As seasoned travellers, we are often skeptical about description and images of accommodation as the stated promise is often not delivered.

However Amore' provided us with quality way beyond our imagination. The place is well decorated to make it feels like a real home away from home. The toilet with a shower (and luxurious toiletries) and a deep bath is tastefully designed. Amore' has a beautiful garden in front and a landscaped fruit garden at the back of the property. It is a very serene place to enjoy the cheese platter and a bottle of wine upon arrival, especially after a long drive. Mark and Susie provided quality finishes (in our room) to our B&B experience with bathrobes, bedroom slippers, foxtel tv selection, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, tea making facility with a good selection of tea/coffee/biscuits/sweets and a mini fridge. We had 2 breakfasts and were pleasantly surprised that the hosts make such an effort to ensure we had variation. The 1st morning, we had sausages, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, 2 eggs (cooked according to our personal preference) and toasts. The next morning, we had Frittata with croissants. In addition to all that, each morning there were seasonal fruits (like blueberries and strawberries) and usual fruits (banana, apple, grapes, kiwi and etc), yogurt selection, cereal selection, jam selection, dried fruits and nuts with tea and coffee. My husband requested for a cup of cappuccino and Mark prepared it without any hesitation. This B&B should be B&BB (Bed & Breakfast Buffet!!!).

We were absolutely spoilt by Susie and Mark. They made our stay so memorable.....the next time we go to Newcastle....it will only be due to the fact that we want to be spoilt by them again. Thank you Mark and Susie for raising the standard of B&B in Oz. You have definitely achieved your vision of offering a B&B with a high quality hotel standard and tender loving care hospitality. Amore' has indeed defined quality for B&B in Oz.

Fab B&B with comfy bed and lovely bathroom, but more importantly, great hosts, who clearly love their job and enjoy visitors asking questions and making the most of the house. Breakfasts are fantastic too, ours were on the veranda, sun shining, and pretty much anything you wanted to eat wasn't any trouble. 10 mins from some great beaches and restaurants (go to Paymasters). A very lovely long weekend.

My fiancé and I had an amazing weekend at Amore B&B. From the moment we arrived Suzie and Mark went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect to us - Suzie even ensured there was a bottle of my favourite wine chilled with a cheese platter upon our arrival! We stayed in the apartment-style villa which met all of our needs. The decor was beautiful and modern. Breakfast each morning was amazing, including a delicious hot breakfast with all the trimmings one morning and then a baked frittata the next with a second dish of pikelets with berries. We were in town for a friend's graduation and Suzie and Mark served us drinks in the beautiful sitting room before driving us to dinner! We had an amazing time and can't wait to go back!

This Bed and Breakfast is the reason why my husband and I prefer not to stay and any motel/hotel/rental apartments when we go for our mini getaway around NSW. First the host is half of what made this place a home away from home - they are helpful and prompt on the first contact for booking and made the rest of the planning easier. When we get there, we are greeted with a warm welcome out the front porch! and a tour around the house. The house have 3 bedrooms and a granny flat at the back with full kitchennette (we stayed in this one) that we thought is equivalent to any 4 star hotels. They provide enough facilities for us that made packing our bags a lot easier. The lovely garden at the back had plenty of greenery and neatly trimmed trees instantly takes you out of the suburban area. On the tour around the house we fell in love on how much character has been placed into the house with old and new furnitures. The lounge room is very inviting with a little stove fireplace on the corner and a mini bar. My mind at the time had gone away to thinking of how nice it would be to sit on the lounge with a cup of tea (or a glass of wine!). The lovely host Suzie and Mark cracked open some fresh Macadamias from the backyard and we got to talking for some time before we realise it's almost dinner time. This place takes me away from my daily hussle and bussle in the Sydney city, we love every bit of it and would definitely stay again in the near future. Thank you Suzie and Mark for a lovely home away from home.

We cannot recommend Amore Boutique BnB highly enough. From the moment I rang to see if there was any rooms left to when we left Mark and Suzie were sensational. They were extremely accomodating of us, and even offered my dad a bed too (we just got our bike licenses and he rode with us to make sure we got there ok). The room was sensational, and the bed was very comfy (especially after a 300km bike ride). We had a lovely bathroom too, the bath big enough for two. Breakfast was amazing as well. We plan to come back here every year to celebrate our wedding anniversary. A home away from home, incredible!

My husband and I recently stayed here for on night while in newcastle. We could not have been made to feel more at home. The service was impeccable, the house was stunning, food was fantastic. And they are some of the loveliest people we have met. The bed was comfy and we slept really well, and we usually don't whilst away. Can't wait to see you guys again when we are down next!! 10/10 guys!!
