Whilst the apartments are beautiful and the location close to shops, you don't want to step a foot out of line here!
$100 for any noise complaints after 10pm, $25 fines for not washing dishes, $25 fine for not putting out garbage, $35 for any stains on towels and $185 for any stains on the carpet! Not to mention $25 if the benches aren't wiped down...
This was told to us after not being able to check in until 4pm, two hours after the time we were told!
And being told by the manager, "I'm not sure why they are making it spotless, you're only going to make it dirty" .. assuming that because our group was aged 21-22 that we were going to leave the place a mess.
Overall, very disappointed and won't be back!

You stayed on perhaps the busiest day of the year with the “Groovin the Moo” music festival, as well as other concerts and events happening in and around Newcastle. The majority of our 4.5 star apartments were booked by under 22 year olds (your group alone comprised of at least 16 people occupying three units). These sorts of numbers are a concern for us, as they would be with any other accommodation on a weekend like this. We had all cleaners on deck and they cleaned 18 units after 10:00am check-out on the day of your arrival. That day, all guests requested early check-ins, between 12:00 and 2:00 pm with most rooms requiring additional bedding, an almost impossible task in the allotted time of 2-3 hours. Nonetheless, we did make sure to have one of your units ready so that you could wait there until the other two units were done. At the time it seemed that you were happy to wait. Our cleaners are conscientious and work very hard – your comments were very dispiriting. That said, we apologize for not having your unit ready by 2:00pm.
When my wife went up to check progress on your unit she encountered your group playing hand ball in the driveway. This is not condoned behaviour and is a cause for concern on our part. Noise late at night can be a problem particularly when alcohol is involved. We do endeavour to make it clear from the start that bad behaviour and noise will not be tolerated. My wife insists that she made the offending comment in jest – she has a happy personality and was no doubt trying to keep the mood light.
With regard to the charges displayed on the refrigerator of each unit, they are intended as a deterrent and not a revenue source – we have only levied charges in a handful of instances where units have been left damaged and untidy.
It is a pity that you couldn’t have taken a more balanced view of our business particularly as you are the first person in 2.5 years to give our efforts a “poor” rating. We regret that you were disappointed and we must admit, so are we, by the comments in your review. However, we do not apologize for endeavouring to maintain a high standard for all our guests.
