We stayed at the Cliffemount in September 2013 for a couple of nights. Received a warm welcome and helped with our bags. Our room was large, on ground floor with a balcony which had views of the hotel grounds and the sea. There was ample tea and coffee making facilities and a jar of biscuits. The bathroom was fine but not sufficient space to put toiletries. We had dinner on the first night which was excellent. David the chef discussed the meal with us beforehand and although his description of the sticky toffee pudding with apricots sounded wonderful we were just too full to try it. The following night, having been out all day, we just wanted a snack, and once again David came up trumps with two delicious cheese boards and the best bread I have ever tasted. The staff are fantastic especially Mark who went out of his way to be helpful, advising us on travel routes etc. the wi fi isn't great, and you have to choose your spot which isn't always the most comfortable place to sit. Also the food is a little pricey, but as I said is very good indeed. All in all an enjoyable place to stay and we would go back.
