My girlfriend and I found the Moulin Bregeon when we were looking for a cooking class in the Loire Valley. We had a wonderful time at the mill. We literally felt like members of the family. The food was amazing.
I was delighted to find that Jonathan, Bernard, and Pascal far exceeded all of my expectations for food and service. We would go to bed totally stuffed from pheasant, or fois gras, or guinea hen, or venison and then suddenly awaken in the morning to the amazing smell of coffee and pies and croissants and fresh orange juice- and be hungry all over again. The rooms were out of this world - luxurious, spacious, light-filled.
We spent a week practicing our bad French (all three of the guys were very patient with us); having racous conversations (mostly in English) on art, music, food, politics, history, and wine; visiting vineyards and antique shops and small boutiques; getting lost in the French countryside. It was great - I can't recommend it enough.
