I don't even know where to begin, it's impossible to put into words just how amazing an experience Askari is and something everybody should do at some point! You spend your time constantly doing new and incredible things, always learning about the bush, it's wildlife and how best to sustain it. The work you do is very hands on, and you really feel like you are an important part of what they are trying to achieve in Pidwa. Katie and Joe are very welcoming and after a day it felt like you had known them all your life, and they are incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to educate you, whatever your question. I went out there with a vague understanding of African wildlife, but I come back knowing how to identify the age and sex of Giraffe (and Elephants, and Lions, and Zebra, and many more!), how to distinguish between the numerous types of antelope as well as how to cook a few meals! The wildlife and experiences are out of this world, but it is the people you meet here that truly make Askari one of a kind. One piece of advice, if at all possible go for at least 4 weeks, I promise you will not regret it!
