“Great Service & facilities”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2010

We had arranged for a residential workshop. The rooms, service & food was great. The staff was very responsive to our needs & handled all the requirements efficiently.Great ambiance and biggest plus point is the acres & acres of greenery that greets you when you reach this resort. This is very calm & quiet place. It has has an mini amusement part to keep the kids happy.
Its a great place to have corporate seminars & conferences.

Wanted a peaceful weekend break with family and Silent Hills delivered it to the T.With its serene location,on banks of river Vaitaran,it is a really peacful location.Kids can enjoy the water slides and so can adults.
Only vegetarian food is served.
Youcan enjoy boating in the river which will enegise you for the coming hectic week.
Must try atleast once.

It's Violent Hill Resort.
Don't expect silence here.
It's full of noise. Noise from rain dance, disco, events.
Other than water park, there is nothing much to do.
Person gets impressed with very big resort & expect quality time here, but gets nothing much at the end of day.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2009

Silent Hills Resort is a great getaway for a short break from Mumbai. We have stayed there a few times, and found it consistently good every time.

It is less than two hours drive from South Mumbai and hence ideal for a short break.

The check-in is efficient and bags taken to the room immediately. The rooms are clean and nice but fairly basic. The old wing is showing signs of age and could do with a renovation, specially the bathrooms. The good part is that the rooms open to a sit out area and a garden which has hammocks to relax in.

The property is quite large and well spaced out. It has a feel of a nice resort on the river banks. Activities include boating, children's play area, swimming pool, small water park etc. The only down side is that it is also a popular day picnic destination and can attract large crowds which the resident guests may not always appreciate. While the restaurant is exclusive for the resident guests, the other facilities are shared.

The restaurant serves a variety of good vegetarian food. Both, the service and food are of good quality.

Overall, it is a good resort to take a quick break from the hectic city life. We have been there a few times, and will continue to go there.

  • Liked — Location, food, service and price
  • Disliked — Loads of day picnickers and loud music
