My friends and I had intended to go to The Queens Head in Wing, however they were being redecorated so they redirected us to The Boot.
We were very pleasantly surprised, especially as we didn't know what to expect.
The four of us shared two starters, the Prawn, avocado & mango salad, absolutely delicious. Then three of us had the Salman & crab fishcakes which were obviously hand made, the fourth member of the party had calves liver which she declared was wonderful, plenty of fresh vegetables cooked "al dente" just as we like them.
The service was good especially when we realised that were short handed once fully completed I would think that it would be excellent, staff very polite and helpful nothing was too much trouble.
The only two reasons I haven't given it an excellent report, is that as it was such a lovely day and we choose to sit by the door we had a couple of "flying bugs" however that is outside the restaurants control, the other problem was that they do not have a disabled toilet the only ones are up a flight of stairs [9 steps] .
The restaurant is situated on the corner of a main road [not very busy] which did not affect dining either outside or in, with a delightful view of the village church
That said the restaurant was very clean and the food delicious would we go again? Yes
