Just got back from 3wonderful nights! Couldn't have wished for a better place to stay, food great especially the cakes, accommodation was 5star plus! The views from our room were brill! Chris n Linda made us fell very welcome, advised us where to eat and some walks to do. Very central for Shropshire, if you're looking for somewhere to stay you cannot go wrong by staying here.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. As a new B&B we decided not to apply for official star rating, preferring to let our guests make their own judgements. Glad you enjoyed the cakes - the gooseberry (straight from the garden) and elderflower muffins have been a winner with our guests.

We have recently stayed for two nights with Chris and Linda and what a wonderful stay it was! The accommodation is indeed luxurious and spotless. The breakfast very tasty and Linda's little treats in the morning were just literally the icing on the cake. We have been recommending this B&B to all our friends and are sure to return again.
It is perfection and they are so hospitable we feel as if we have known them forever! If this wasn't enough pleasure there were also the cute alpacas which kept us entertained over breakfast. Thank you Linda and Chris for a lovely mini break.

We usually stay in 4 star hotel accommodation but decided as we were going to Shropshire to explore the County we would go to the heart of the countryside and look for a superior B & B.
After finding this one, seeing their web site and reading the trip advisor reviews on it, we did not hesitate to book for 3 nights. Everything that was said about it (outstanding, friendly etc etc.) was perfectly true and I have never found better attention to detail anywhere.. The outstanding views from the bedrooms also overlook a paddock where they keep three alpacas which we were allowed to feed much to the delight of my wife Jean. If you are looking for B & B accomodation in this area choose this one, I doubt that the most pedantic critic signed up to Trip Advisor could find the slightest fault with it.

Thank you for your review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. You packed a lot into four days and we hope you enjoyed the driving tours we suggested. We have long thought that the top B&Bs in the county easily beat hotels for comfort and service and it is good to hear that you share this view.

The Shropshire Hills is an outstanding bed & breakfast, tastefully decorated and maintained to an exceptionally high standard.

A truly warm welcome awaits you. Linda and Chris Baker really excel in their attention to detail, from the wonderfully comfortable beds, superb en-suite bathrooms and guest toiletries, to the delicious homemade cakes. Everything has been thought of to ensure their guests really enjoy their stay.

With stunning views over the Shropshire countryside and its close proximity to historic towns such as Ludlow and Church Stretton, this is an ideal location.

With the added attraction of their three gorgeous Alpacas, you will definitely be won over.
If you are looking for superb accommodation and excellent food, then this is the place for you.

We had a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable stay in this tranquil spot, and will certainly be returning.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are pleased that your birthday stay was a enjoyable one and we enjoyed the home decor conversations and your demonstration of superb Alpaca handling. We look forward to seeing all three of you again in the future.

We stayed at this B&B for 2 nights at the beginning of July, and I have to say it is the best we have ever experienced. Far better than the many overpriced hotels we have wasted money on over the years (Buckatree Hall Hotel take note!). The house itself is immaculate, and while we usually prefer period properties, the place just feels right somehow. We were greeted by Linda who gave us tea and homemade cakes on the decking. We stayed in the Meadow Room, with fantastic views of Corvedale (and the Alpacas), a huge double bed and the most luxurious bathroom I have seen in any B&B. Everything had been thought of, including a fridge, electric fan to cool us down and of course more homemade cakes. We met Linda's husband Chris a bit later who was so kind in every way, telling us about local walks and places to eat. Unfortunately, some of the local pubs were closed on a Sunday and Monday, so we never got chance to try the Swan (across the road) or Crown nearby. We attempted the "Three Castle" walk on a very hot day, but only got half way, despite being supplied with more cakes from Linda. These homemade delights were so good my wife begged Linda for a Brownie recipe, which she gave up only on the condition that my wife gave her one of hers. So if you find a Lemon Drizzle cake in your room, that was our gift. We were actually over in the area looking to purchase a motorhome, which we have no bought, but even so we will definately be back to stay at the Shropshire Hills B&B in the near future. Well done Linda and Chris x

Thank you for your review. Other guests have also found that the "modern country" accommodation can be just as effective and atmospheric as traditional properties - yes it does work.! Thanks for the lemon drizzle recipe.

Exceptional and outstanding in every way. We were made to feel extremely welcome by Linda and Chris. This is like a five star hotel with a personal touch. As country lovers and walkers the location could not have been better. Great breakfasts with homemade jams and strawberries just picked form the garden. Extremely comfortable room with super views - one of the most endearing places we have stayed.

Room Tip: The Meadow and Orchard rooms have super views.

Thank you for your review. The strawberries have done very well this year and we are glad you enjoyed them. We were impressed with the speed with which you did the Three Castles Walk - a record for Shropshire Hills B&B guests.

My wife and I have used B&B facilties continually for the past 14 years during our extensive trail walking holidays throughout England, Wales, Scotland, Northern & Southern Ireland. However we used this facility to attend a nearby wedding. Our experiences have enabled us to be more critical at times than maybe we should be, but this establishment was beyond reproach in all aspects. The service and attention to detail provided by Chris & Linda and the very relaxed atmosphere far exceeds that of more expensive and overated so classified star hotels, and much better value. There are probably cheaper places to stay, but the extra cost is more than compensated for by the far superior comforts & small extras. It is conveniently situated for the Welsh Marches and glorious Shrophire Hills together with numerous historical places to visit, with excellent views all around. The ideal venue to "chill out".
