We detoured to Palazzolo Acreide to see the Baroque churches etc, and as it was lunch-time, and we love slow food, searched for and happily found Il Portico.
We were the only people there, which in October in Sicily doesn't seem unusual. The food was impressive and freshly prepared, the service delightful and the restaurant elegant. While I don't understand how the economics of staying open for so few guests works I am very happy that they do!
