“Very Special”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

stayed 4 nights end feb. Can only endorse everything already written. This place is very special, and really grows on you. I cant wait to go back. Most welcoming - you almost feel like a friend. Most people are only there for a couple of nights, so to keep this level of genuine hospitality up is quite a feat. Simple but nice food, inexpensive good wine. Glorious grounds (altho dont even think of going in the pool in feb!) Rooms are a tad spartan, but lots of character. Lots to do in the surrounding countryside for the adventurous, made all the more accessible by helpful staff. While still giving a more than authentic Moroccan experience, Kasbah Angour makes visiting this country easy, airport/medina pick ups , Marrakech 30 minutes away by taxi.

Room Tip: we liked our Adrar room facing the mountains with south aspect. Sun from morning till evening.

“An oasis in Marrakech”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

Stay here when in Marrakech. Just 30 minutes away it is easy to go to Marrakech for a day.At the Kasbah, you are greeted and looked after with real care not just by Paul but his staff who are all local Berbers.

The Kasbah's traditional architecture is calm and inviting. The rooms are large and tastefully decorated. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and overlooked by the Atlas,it is a perfect getaway for people of all ages. All our walks were well planned and we had excellent guides who not only looked after us well but were able to share many interesting stories about the local culture and traditions. We were also able to tailor the walks to suit our ability.

Food was prepared using local ingredients. It was simple, fresh and tasty. We ended our time on a high not just as a result of the warmth of the sun but of the people for whom the comfort of their guest was paramount.A memorable trip. Shukran,Kasbah Angour.

“Mountain Haven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

My husband and I arrived for 3 nights here after a hectic week touring Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains and the desert. The hotel, the views, the gardens and the pool are stunning - you can see this has been a real labour of love by the owner who built the whole property. The bedrooms are beautiful (and at this time of year when the nights are cold, the underfloor heating was perfect) and all are designed to take full advantage of the stunning views. It is so quiet and relaxing, you can't fail to relax and kick back....but we did make use of the fabulous guide and went for a long trek to take in some of the hills and valleys. The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. There's still a few tweaks to be made - no robes in the bedrooms (to come though!), bottled water and glasses would also have been a nice addition (you have to pay for your water). Food was delicious and the small dining room a delight with the log fire roaring at night. Get to this hotel before it gets too busy - it's a real gem!

“A wonderful place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

We had only a short stay at this fantastic hotel but the memory of the beauty of the surroundings and the attention to our comfort will linger on. The Kasbah has been built using local stone and wood and is a joy to the eye. Our room was spacious, the bathroom was excellent, and we had a lovely paved area outside with table and chairs where we sat gazing at the phenomenal panoramic view. The gardens are beautifully kept and we saw chef collecting his vegetables and herbs in readiness for meals. Paul the owner was very helpful and arranged a wonderful car trip to the mountains and Berber villages with Hussein. The food was excellent and the staff charming and helpful. The hotel has a large swimming pool, attractive sitting rooms for guests, a licensed bar and wifi. Thoroughly recommended.

“Like an Oasis of comfort, peace and beauty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

Just returned from Morocco - spent 4 nights in Kasbah Angour. Staff extremely attentive and helpful. Room beautifully appointed with space and comfort. Moroccan styling and private terrace with view over gardens to the snow covered Atlas Mountains. Breakfast in sunshine on South Terrace and Dinner by the log fire in the bar - lovely. As a vegetarian found the main course of the main meal was not up to the high standard of the rest of the food.

Room Tip: As far as we could see every room is good.
