Temaikèn also co-manages 2 Provincial Parks: Cruce Caballero and Araucarias, both part of the Pino Paraná Forest ecosystem, also in the Province of Misiones.• Educational Programs: for the purpose of “Educating to Preserve” Temaikèn provides institutions with its educational programs adapted to school curricula and applicable to all levels of education: Initial, PEB, ESB, High School, Primary School, Secondary School and Special Education. This work is supplemented by Teachers Training Courses and activities with the communities located within the ecosystems under protection or to be protected.• Research and Preservation Programs: Various programs are carried out at the Foundation: Protected Areas, Endangered Species and Marine Biodiversity. These programs comprise the specific Preservation Projects aimed at achieving Temaikèn’s purpose: The Preservation of native species, particularly endangered species. • A Center for Reproduction of Species (CRET): where animal Rehabilitation and Reproduction programs are carried out, supporting both Preservation Programs and the authorities governing the illegal trafficking of animals. These programs focus on rehabilitating animals that are later returned to their habitat as part of various release and reintroduction programs.

“Best Zoo I ever been”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

Amazing, it is just like you are in any other park in Florida - USA. No doubt that the trip worth your money. It´s a litle bit far from Buenos Aires Downtown, but you can take a bus at Plaza Italia and leave you right in front the gate. The biopark is awsome - clean, organized, the animals are not in those cages that sucks, on contrary, they are in open spaces , not caustrofobic like other zoos that you see around the world. If you go, try the icecream that they have there - its delicious. Congrats for the owners and the guys that work there - I'm really impressed.

This place is excellent for kids and for all the people that likes the animals. The bad: the food, is very expensive and isn't good.

“Don't miss it! Beautiful park and animals”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

A beautiful park in Escobar, an hour drive from Bs.As. suitable for all ages
Is very well organised. Animals seem to be well kept and presented.
Not so big (it will take around a half day or a whole day to visit) and animals are distributed in specific regions or habitats from different continents.
Distinctives animals: many are specific from Argentinians areas (pumas, carpinchos, pudus, condores), enormous cages were you can walk inside with birds from different areas, also bats and some tigers and cheetahs. A wonderful acuarium you can walk inside and watch sharks, from the bottom. (In summer, it has a special programm to stay overnight and sleep inside, but requires to previously book it before)
Also has several places to have lunch or fast food. Particularly it has excellent ice creams (Munchis).
Beautiful park! Worth a visit while staying in Buenos Aires.

“One of the best zoo in the world!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

It's one of those zoos where the animals look healthy and happy. If you are in Buenos Aires i highly recommend to spend a day there. One way trip from Plaza Italia to the zoo entrance on the comfortable bus will take about an hour and a half and will cost 16 pesos. The ticket to the zoo costs 98 pesos for an adult, but if you go on tuesday it will be 50% cheaper. In the park you can spend all the day, but remember that the last bus goes to Buenos Aires at 6, so it's better to come to Temaiken in the morning to see all the animals.

“Best animal park in Argentina”

The educational tour and the presentation of animal feeding are interesting, the aquarium is absolutely stunning, as you walk in the middle of the swimming sea fauna.
