“Alot of amazing surprises”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2013

This place is absolutely amazing. Being the only palace King Ludwig completed it is so impressive. Fr the opulent palace and grounds, the tea house is something out of a movie set, and don't miss touring the grotto. This place has beautiful views and is a must for castle lovers.

“Worth it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2013

The guided visit was quite simplistic and probably did not last the 30min expected. Therfore the price paid is a bit on the high side 17 euros for 2 adults and 3 children. The gardens are very nice but expect steep slopes of you are worth kids.

“Very nice, do not miss!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

I just went on a month-long trip through Europe and I have seen my fair share of palaces and castles (including St. Petersburg, which sets the bar high!). Despite this, this palace still amazed me. It's not very big but has beautiful gardens and some pretty impressive rooms and decorations. Definitely worth seeing!!!

“Unique Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

It's always interesting to see into the mind of an off-beat genius... and Linderhof was definitely a worth the trip...
Quirky eccentricities of King Ludwig II... the rooms were small but ornate.. and the gardens were gorgeous.
If you're a fan of King Ludwig II of Bavaria... it's a great little stop if you're doing Neuschwanstein Castle and Hohenschwangau Castle.

“Linderhof castle, a place to see!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

The only complete castle of Ludwig which can be seen entirely. When you understand english take this guided tour. The English is spoken well, and the queue before coming in is not that long! Very well preserved inside it gives you a good look at how Ludwig lived at that time. The park surrounding the castle is also very beautiful. There are a lot more attractions to see ( Venus cave, Hundinghütte) and you can spend almost all day to see them all properly. Or sit on a bench and enjoy the surroundings. Climb the stairs near the fountain and enjoy the majestic view to the castle.
