i thought this was a very poor tour to much time on your hands had to walk everywhere should have had a shuttle for people that has a hard time walking i fell tour director went with us but she did not follow thru with anything also i thought very rude
I did keep up with walking but it is not right
Beds were very bad,spa was not clean
They did not do tour s inf to much shopping time so it was a waste of time the tour director should have told us we could take a bus tour around the islands that we visited
Food was the worst i have ever had thought Italy was well know for good food we even had to go out & eat it was that bad

If you have unmannered, undiscipline kids between the ages of 3 - 18.., this is the place to go. (Children go for free). They can run wild without any supervision or concern for the other hotel guests or mature activities.
The ball room in the evenings is overrun with loud kids music, games, and screaming kids. (Mature, adult activities are not available).
The card tables.., for those who wish to spend an evening playing cards, are located in the ball room where they are unusable due to the noise and minimum lighting. (When I ask if I could move one to a useable area I was told by management that that was not possible).
The restaurant food is high in quantity but low is quality. One weeks stay of blend food is maximum before one seeks good food outside.
General maintenance on primary facilities, i.e., awnings, patio chairs, windows is lacking. (I paid extra for a seaview room and was unable to use the terrace in the afternoons because of heat, sunshine.., and non functioning awning. It appeared the awning had not been repaired is years).

  • Liked — Staff are excellent but are handicapped from above.
  • Disliked — Activities other than teenage kids are not available.

Have just returned from Ischia Lido in Ischia Porto=Hotel is clean, bedding changed every day although there were problems with the extractor fan in the bathroom, it worked when it felt like.
There did not appear to be any fire regulations(I dont know if this is typical of italian hotels). There were no fire extinguishers or instructions in or outside the rooms for evacuation. There is nobody to cater for english speaking people(although they are advertising in the national press).
Entertainment is non-existent unless you play cards, which appears to be an italian national sport.
The island itself is very expensive and you will need plenty of money to purchase in the designer shops.
Beaches are quite poor in parts and unless you have the weather there is not a lot to do.
It appears that the island caters mainly for the italian and german market.
The food consists of mainly salads and fish dishes-very few desserts.
All in all-an average holiday-once visited -not to be repeated

The hotel is really lovely; it's not 5 star or anything but it's still great. The rooms are nicely decorated & cleaned everyday. We had a lovely view of the beach & sea.
The hotel is five minutes walk from the centre of Ischia Porto & the harbour - which is an amazing place. It's really beautiful.
We booked through Aurum which meant we were full board (salad, pizza, pasta, rice, meat, fish, deserts....everything) - the food was just as great, and you had wine with your meals. It was brilliant value for money.
It does not attract many English visitors, and this is possibly why you can get a real bargain holidaying here.

Give it a go - I am sure you will be impressed !!!
