This is an old jail, with a cafe on the ground floor and a restaurant in the basement, in the old cells. The cafe is knowned to have traditional food served as a typical norwegian cafe and is a good stop if you would like some typical norwegian food. Nothing fancy, but good.
There is a restaurant in the basement, where the tables are set in the old cells, and one cell is a winecellar.
The restaurant is har d to find, as you have to go through the cafe and there are no good signs. The atmosphere is not very good. The stairs and the cells are very cosy, and when you access the dining room the atmosphere is great. The service is however very poor, and they do not have any idea of what they are doing. They do not know anything about wine, and some knowlege about food. The food is good, but it lacks some innovation, and the service make the full experience poor.
