The hospitality of Malcolm and Alex was second to none with everything possible being done for us. Lovely breakfasts every morning and ideal for travelling anywhere on the island as buses were a short walk away and with guidance we were on our way. It would have been heaven on earth but a few small things which I found hard to cope with (but there again I am extremely fussy) and I hope this does not deter anyone but is taken into consideration by Malcolm and Alex. The first being in the Red Suite the bed is extremely difficult to get into if you are 60 and a short *** as there is about a 4" wooden lip round it and it is high (bruises to be had just getting in and out). For super duper service ironed sheets and all matching towels would be lovely as although clean and the towels were lovely and fluffy sometimes looked a little off colour. Some lavender or something is also needed in the wardrobes as our clothes smelled musky on leaving (which is understandable in an old property like this), although we could not fault it on space - so many large wardrobes which is a definite plus. None of this would matter if you are young, fit and healthy so please go and enjoy your stay with a lovely family in their beautiful Maltese home.

Room Tip: The Yellow Suite might be better for an older couple as the bed is low.

We enjoyed our stay at Chapel 5 in early June 2013. Each day started with a hearty breakfast and the location is very convenient for travel by public transport to all the best local attractions and sites. Chapel 5 is also close enough to some very good local restaurants for a pleasant evening walk.
Malcolm was able to arrange local car hire for us to travel to Gozo and the more difficult to get to places on Malta at our own pace.

Its no wonder the reviews of Chapel 5 suites are consistently excellent. Our stay in this charming, cosy, relaxing, sophisticated, boutique B&B was perfection. We arrived very late in the evening after a typical budget airline experience and after sensing our exhaustion malcolm prepared some light food and local wine to help us relax. Our breakfast the following day was beyond our expectations and continued to be a delight every morning. We had wonderful experiences during our trip to malta as a direct result of the excellent advice and tips we were given each day at breakfast. Our room was beautiful and clean with towels and sheets changed regularly. We simply couldn't have asked for more. Naxxar itself is a lovely little village away from the hustle and bustle of things but with its own restaurants and bars - a welcome retreat after a long day out exploring. Thank you to Malcolm and Alex - we had the best time ever!

On our arrival at the Chapel 5 in Naxxar, Malcolm the owner was very welcoming. He made us a brew accompanied with a local Maltese cake and made us feel at home straight away. His advise to visit resturants and places of interest was very helpful. Our room was adequatly sized and equiped. Breakfast was great, with fresh fruit, cakes, cheese and meats. If you want to stay in a place that feels Maltese and very welcoming, i would recommend Chapel 5.

Room Tip: The Red Room we had was great, big bathroom and a balcony

An excellent address in a lovely old house restored with taste and originality in the little town of Naxxar away from the tourist areas of the island. We stayed a week and had the very comfortable Blue Suite with excellent facilities (beware of the spiral staircase to reach it !). Very good and very full breakfast. We were realy well looked after by Malcolm and Alex and by their friendly and efficient helpers.Naxxar is a very good base for exploring the island - a charming, authentic little town away from the tourist hot spots but a good base for exploring the island by bus or by car (but beware lack of systematic road signs). Some good eating places in Naxxar - Cellini Wine bar and, even closer to the Palazzo suites, Ta' Marku and the excellent Cafe Parisio. This is a B and B with a real personal touch and one we would return to if ever we go back to Malta

Chapel 5 was an amazing choice for our Malta stay. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was amazing. Alex, Malcolm and Antoinette were so helpful and kind. Naxxar was a great little town a short bus ride from almost everywhere. We greatly enjoyed our stay and will stay at Chapel 5 again on our next trip.
