“All the way from Cape Breton”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2014

I had passed this restaurant several times. But recently at a Sobeys Cooking Class in Glace Bay, NS, this name came up as a must eat at. An RVer who camps in the 1000 Island area was at the class. IT was all that it was spoken about. Down home hospitality wiht generous portions of delicious food.

“Worth the drive from Kingston!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2014

A friend recommended that my wife and I try the Rapid Valley Restaurant, so we braved the snow and drove the 30 minutes from Kingston. We're glad we did! Located in a beautiful rural setting, this is an unpretentious, casual country restaurant that features local artwork. It has an extensive menu of great food. All three meals are served. Breakfast is available all day. They also offer a very wide selection of outstanding homemade pies and cakes. If you're full (which is a distinct possibility), they can be purchased and taken home for later. Overall, this is a great restaurant. It's clean and bright, the portions are large, the food is tasty, the coffee is great, and the staff are friendly. We'll be going back!!

“Super casual, Great Value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner after a day of boating on the St. Lawrence River. Everyone in our group of four thoroughly enjoyed our dinners. Our server was friendly and service was excellent.
One person received the wrong dinner, however, her requested dinner was brought to her very quickly with warm and friendly service. Be sure to save room for dessert!!!! Their pies are outstanding, in fact, their pies were served at the wedding we were in town to attend instead of wedding cakes and everyone loved them!!!!!

This is a local diner style, come as you are type place, but the food is terrific and the atmosphere is fun.

“Worth the detour off the 401 exit 659 Reynold's road head north 2 minutes.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

We have been going to this restaurant for a very long time. When it burned down we missed it. Thankfully they rebuilt bigger and better. The pies and the homemade roasts and Turkey are their main stays. The service is friendly and attentive. No matter what time we go it is always busy but you never have to wait for a table. Local artists have their work for sale on the walls. their are gas pumps too. So don't settle for fast food when you can have homemade.
