Just returned from a week at this Breezes resort. It was indeed the best service that I have ever experienced!!! The staff are all super nice and helpful no matter if tipping or not. There are many activities to enjoy both on and off the resort....so you will never be bored. Its not a party spot but if you are looking for total relaxation and alone time with your significant other...its the spot for you!!! Its also very, very clean...so no worries. Its one of the only resorts in Cuba close to a water puifiying plant so the water is safe to drink...FYI. P.S. if any of you are going soon to this resort...please bring peanut butter for Mike, one of the activity coordinators (AKA, mini Mike)....he has yet to try it!! Angela & Josh, Nova Scotia

The snorkling is fantastic just out front. Please people, don't stand on the coral or it will die! Easy trip to Havana is a must. What an awsome city. Take a bike at the hotel and ride up and down the road. Some of the most beautiful Cuban country side is right around the hotel. The mountains are spectacular. The people are super friendly. I felt safe and welcome. No one pesters you to buy stuff like some other Carribean islands.

The staff was great. The house band Akarey was fantastic. I'm trying like crazy to get a hold of them so that I can get more of their music and to keep an eye for when they come to Canada next so if anyone has an e-mail address, please reply.

I'd go to this resort again.

We came back from Jibacoa on 26 Jan. 2007...from a Balmy +84' F to a BONE CHILLING -22' C COLD!!! My nose is still stinging!! AYE CARRUMBAH!!!
This Resort is absolutely Magical! This is an Adults Only Resort...so?..NO KIDS! WOOHOO!!!
The Snorkeling?..SPECTACULAR! See Tony at the Dive Shop for Mask & Fins...he's very knowledgable about the Beach and Diving in the area..and a bunch of other Stuff too!
Our favourites here is The Beach, The Food, The People! They had a wonderful assortment and variations of Food Buffets...and nightly Themes.
If you want to be pampered at Dinner? Go to Martino's!!...Reservations Required, and make sure to see, Juan!!! And ladies?...try to keep your tongues off the Floor when you meet him!! He dazzled all of us and the Service..Impeccable!
Breezes Jibacoa is somewhat isolated...thats just FINE by me! We took a Tour to Varadero which was ok, but definitely not long enuff! That..was a waste of time and money! Find a local who may want to play Tour Guide for half(or less)the Price the Tour Companies up at the Front Desk are asking for...
We found a local guy who picked us up with his car and he spent the day with us, touring all of Havana! Man! Does this guy know his stuff! We went to see places most people dont see! And he knew some very good coffee, tobacco stores and one of the best small restaurants in Havana! Ernest Hemingway haunts! etc etc.
This location was very serene and enjoyable...really relaxed!
By the way...the 24 Hour Bar across from the Front Desk makes one of the Best Cappuccinos ever tasted...24/7!!! OLA!
The Piano Bar is nice and somewhat sedate..no Piano Player! lots of drinking tho...The Bartenders are very helpful & knowledgable, if you happen to need or want anything Special..same with the Staff at the Buffets!
We had 6 days of absolutely PERFECT Weather..sunny, hot, sand, surf & Snorkeling...82'F or better!
There IS lots to do at this Resort and also in the area...if you apply yourself or just simply ask!! You don't HAVE to stay at the Resort 24/7...you can walk to the village next door..go horse-back riding at the east end of the Beach..you can take Tours offered at the Front Desk or, JUST ASK AROUND to the Locals! These people who complain that this Resort is so isolated and that there is nothing to do..is simply False! ASK the people you meet! ASK the Locals!
There are MANY WAYS to get to Havana or Varadero from Jibacoa, and its not just from the Tour Operators!
This was one of the Best Resorts we have been to...stress free and just plain quiet!
We highly recommend this Resort to anyone! We hope your stay here will be as enjoyable as ours was...Viva Jibacoa!

I went to Jibacoa with my husband and two of our friends. We absolutely loved it and it was by far the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at. The food was amazing, and the drinks were always good. (Just tell them not to make them too strong). The beach was so nice and clean, and my friend and I loved the dance lessons on the beach. You must go to the beach bar for a cheese burger, they were so good and the waiters were so accomodating (very very friendly). A great part of the trip also, were the entertainers working at the resort. They were so good for getting you involved in activities and dancing. They forever kept it interesting and fun. We made friends with them and will continue to keep in touch with them. The Disco at night was a great time, they do dancing activites and I've got to say, you will like it, even if you don't dance. The entertainment was great, we entered some shows and really enjoyed getting on the stage after the show and doing the spanish dances with everyone. I loved how there was always something to, we never got bored. The whole hotel was very appealing to look at, and very relaxed. We went on some scooter tours, and I would highly recommend it. You have a chance to see downtown Cuba and how the people live, and it is quite the thing to see. Plus it was only 15 pesos for one scooter, in which you could share for one couple. Always remember if you go to Cuba, bring them little gifts, to them it means everything, and they really appreciate it. I am definately thinking of returning to this resort, I have been away a lot of times before, but I really like Cuba. This was a great trip, and I do recommend it to people of all ages! Anyone will enjoy Jibacoa, Breezes!
