this was the third time at jibacoa and it just keeps getting a little better. the water now is completely safe, the food including deserts definitely improved. of course the staff is friendly and fun. the sun dance is getting easier every year it just takes practice, i think it works. we intend to keep returning. we hear they bought the italian resort next door and are expanding.

I have written other reviews on Jibacoa and given it an excellent rating. For us over time it has become like a comfortable pair of shoes. This time unfortunately our holiday was not up to the excellent rating at previous times. Previously it was wonderful to go to the beach restaurant, lobby bar, buffet and piano bar and be greeted like family. This time all of the faces had been changed and moved. We have been to other hotels ie. Melia where you are treated well but are always a guest. What we had found special about Jibacoa was walking into the piano bar and by the time we had reached the bar if it was not busy our drinks were waiting for us.It was that comfort level that has been changed by moving people around. Overall the quality of everything was the same but it was that individual attention that had made this place so special for us that has changed. We hope this is just a momentary change for summer holidays or something but our holiday was not as enjoyable as in the past.

We, along with our son and daughter-in-law have stayed at the Breezes Jibacoa for 2 years in a row and will be leaving on November 21/05 for another 2 weeks. We found the food great, the service great, and the people very friendly. The secret, I think, is to join in as many activities as you can. I will and have recommended this resort to other travellers.

We have just returned from a 3 day stay at Superclub Breezes after a few days in Havana.

The rooms were clean, although in need of modernisation. The beds were large and very comfortable. The bathrooms are large and clean. It would help if there was a mini bar in the room.

The pool looked as if it could do with a good scrub, there was black mould between the mosiac tiles.

We were dismayed to find that we had arrived during 'Singles' week, where the activities seemed to be geared towards loud screaming single people. The nightly entertainment was very amateurish.

There was no rest from the contant noise from the soundsystem next to the pool. We decided to get away from the noise down at the beach but unfortunately they piped the loud music down there as well.

The food was pretty good by Cuban standards, there was always plenty of fresh food at the buffet. We felt a few times that it was an imposition asking for drinks, and it would have been better to be treated as adults by being given glasses by the pool and the beach, rather than having to use tiny plastic cups.

I'm not sure we would visit this All Inclusive resort again, if I wanted Butlins I could have gone to Bognor Regis.
