just come back from this hotel with my family, this is great 3 star hotel. I will review this hotel and location giving you some top tips so you can make the most out of your holiday.
the hotel looks great, pool clean and room cleaning very good (even if you sleep in, they come back to clean room). Food was above average with plenty of choice. drinks were plentiful and iall inclusive didn't finish until 11pm unfortunately queues to get served were big and I could imagine in summer months it could be bad (top tip: if drinking wine or beer then use bar in dining room which doe not shut until 9.30 saved us waiting over 30mins to be served). Snack bars very good which served from 11till 5 each day and dining room open from 9.45pm until 10.30 for late night snacks (well done hotel). pool very clean and lifeguard on duty every day, bit cold when we stayed but did mage to brave it once, the shallow area of main pool is near the Jacuzzis still quite deep but there is a kiddies pool near children clubhouse. The hotel has a salon, little shop and games room. there are plenty of internet computers around to use but if you want wifi it is 15 euros for week. Rooms were pretty good all had balcony and bathroom. Beds were okay bit hard but as my son was with us we had two singles and bunkbeds in room which are so much better than those foldaway beds. Lifts - there are three in the hotel two facing and one to left hand side the one down the side seem to less used so top tip use that one. We were on second floor so didn't use them alot
There was plenty of families from England ,Scotland, Germany and Spain when we were there and I did not see any fights or trouble. Now the location if you have trouble walking then you will need to get taxi to nearest beach as there are a lots of steps downhill there and you guessed it up hill back. There is free bus use it to get to palma nova from here you can get bus to palma worth a look. In palms nova you have a great beach and nearby two attractions first Katmundo (upside down house) here you have the house and 4 rides, each ride is 4d screen rides they are very good and a 18 hole minigolf course good enjoyable day but is quite expensive (75.60 euros family of three multi day trip with three rides and house a further 15 euros for the asylum ride) is it worth it I hear you ask, we enjoyed it make you own minds up. Secondly you have golf fantasia 54 hole of minigolf some holes through the caves, around well kept grounds took us 4 hours to complete all courses (cost around 50 euros for family of three). Katmundo is in the outskirts of Maguluf but you can walk it from bus drop off in about 5 mins or you can get a bus from the bus stop where you get off free bus (cost 4euros family of three). the minigolf is in other direction10 minute walk along beach front.
Overall great holiday would go back I could imagine in summer months known reputation of maguluf it will get very busy and noisy. Hope this helps people going on holiday in Majorca.
We used First choice last minute .co.uk I can not fault service provided even if welcome meeting is very boring.
