This is a lovely bungalow. We stayed in one of the rooms at the front with a view of the garden. The bathroom is semi-outdoors, so when using the toilet you can see the sky, and there was a tree in the middle of the room too!!
The garden is beautiful and slopes down to a river. There are two resident dogs who kept us company most of the time and always enjoyed walking down to the river with us.
From here we visited The Temple of the Tooth in Kandy, which was an amazing experience. The people were so friendly and may of them gave me flowers to offer to Buddha. After lunch we visited the Botanical garden at Peradeniya, where we had a very interesting and informative guide.
Breadfast consisted of fresh fruit, eggs and toast with jam, plus tea and coffee, and the evening meals were all vegetarian curries, with a variety of vegetables, following by fruit and ice cream.
The two young men looked after us well and we wanted for nothing. They were helpful when needed, but not in the way. We were sad to leave this little piece of paradise.
Ask for the room called Araliya Shade.
