the majorda beach resort is by all means not a 5 star hotel but its one resort you will want to visit over and over again for a number of reasons ..the location of the resort is in a sleepy goan village area, majorda, which is only 18 kms from the airport , once you're off the main road you will find yourself on a narrow road surrounded by coconut trees and small goan houses , you can appreciate the goan style of life and have a feel of the real goan community , ...the resort is an old portugese style building , you get a feeling of being in an old grand mansion .. our experience ... we had a 4 nights package all inclusive of all 3 meals , they we true to every detail , we had an airport pick up , a nice innova with a uniformed driver , as promised we got our welcome drink and welcome gift of a bottle of wine and some nuts , our room was room was a surprisingly big one (superior room ) with two queen beds which suited us fine as both my kids are below 11 yrs of age , the room was clean , the toilet / bathroom was relatively newer as compared to the room , we had a nice big balcony but not a good view , a nice mini bar an old style box tele in a nutshell not the rooms you find in the modern hotels with shiny floors or all glass windows but nonetheless very comfortable ,the resort has an indoor pool , a casino which we never went to , the lawns are beautiful which open onto the maorda beach which is beautiful with very few people mainly all russians which stay a the resort , the bech has e few shacks , sams shack was dissapointing but the cameron a neat and clean shack was very good with amazing bloody mary !! the food at the resort is wonderful , all the meals are carefully thought off with a lot of continental food as most of the guests are russian (80 percent )the pool side cafe where breakfast and dinner is served is beautiful and in the evenings the live band/karaoke singer is excellent , lunch is served indoors in the laguna the most modern and recently constructed part of the resort , the staff is nice and courteous , the outdoor pool is lovely and we all had a great time splashing and swimming there though , the weather was nice too it wasn't hot at all ( 28 th march to 1st april ) and i forgot to mention our package included a half day sight seeing tour of goa with a boat cruise which we loved , north goa is an hour away and a real nice beach with water sports colva beach which is only 8 kms away is a must see ...i can go on and on .... my take on majorda beach resort ... a value for money beautifully located resort which you must go to ... i know i will be definitely going again .
