great service - typically efficient for kempinski - and good room. helpful staff, food reasonable without being exceptional. great location for ski in winter, though i visited in autumn when the hills were still green and peaceful, perfect time for rambling. hotel designed so as to merge in tirol landscape. another good job by kempinski.

Wow. What a great place to stay anytime of the year. We had a wonderful stay - the food was great (the breakfast buffet is amazing; the best in the world by far), the staff were super helpful and friendly, the place is just stunning.

We were treated to a massive upgrade for 6 nights to a deluxe suite and it was stunning. Their normal rooms are also excellent, and the place really just the ticket. It's 8kms out of Kitzbühel, which is no issue at all, and we actually quite liked being in Jochberg,

We are certainly coming back in winter to stay and ski! Highly, highly recommended.

Room Tip: Ask for a mountain view

booked incentive trip for our team three nights, could not have dinner in main restaurant, instead moved to Asia restaurant, service substandard, food not even mediocre yet overpriced in relation to quality.

This is an ok 5 star hotel. I am not impressed with the food (average) and the reception service is not up to standard.
The SPA is great, especially the outdoors heated pool/jacuzzi.
Good hotel, all in all

I have been fortunate enough to stay in a number of luxury hotels in a number of countries in the world, this one would rank as average. Our stay wasn't unpleasant at all, it just wasn't the experience that i have come to expect. The first night we were tired so went to the hotel restaurant around 20:30, we left at 22:30 and I'd just had a starter and my husband a starter and a main course (they brought him the wrong starter out first), as a pregnant woman I would definitely consider 2 hours slow service!!! They did apologise for the delay...with a glass of schnapps...not the most appropriate apology in my condition! Breakfast was a delicious spread and I definitely looked forward to it each morning, and it was available until 12pm which is fantastic! A couple more grumbles, I booked in for a massage one afternoon for the next morning but woke up with a dodgy stomach and didn't really feel that it would have been the best activity for me to undertake, as I tried to cancel I was told I should be made to pay 100% of the cost. I understand why they do it but I should have been informed at the time of booking! we also had problems with the AC, it was impossible to lower the temperature, as we were provided with duvets it got pretty hot at night, we told them three days in a row but still had a fixed temperature that we couldn't do anything about. They did offer to change the room at 21:00 two nights before our departure, there was no way we were going to pack at that time so it would have meant changing for just one night. All in all the location is really lovely, a little far away from Kitzbuhel where the main entertainment is but that was our fault for booking this hotel without really knowing the area, but the scenery is spectacular and there seemed to be plenty of hiking trails around. The staff were pleasant and helpful, the Asian restaurant wasn't worth it, nice duck but it was too far removed from Asian cuisine for my liking, the room was very spacious but the housekeeping wasnt amazing. As I said at the start, not an unpleasant stay just not outstanding for the price...

We spent 5 days in August at the Kempinski and we are really very enthousiastic about this hotel.
Girl at the reception was very friendly, check-in very smooth, we got an upgrade to a "luxe" room (nice!). The room : very nice, a bottle of water with two muffins and some fruit as a welcome gift, fantastic bed, great rainshower, bathroom very comfortable (nice showergel, shampoo, bodylotion,...) - turndown service at night (curtains closed, bed ready to get in, bottle of water,...) which was nice, but 2 nights they came at 18.30 when we were still in the room, it would be nicer after 20pm, when people are at dinner.

Best thing about this hotel : the restaurant!! Breakfast is the best we ever had (and we visited several 5* hotels) : 5 fresh juices, delicious bread choice, ham/cheese/... so good, smoked fish, hot dishes (scrambled eggs, bacon, 4 types of sausages, beans, rösti, pancakes, ham/cheese toasts,mushrooms,...), lots of cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, homemade egg salad, home made cheese with herbs,... ALL you can imagine!!
Dinner : same story : VERY nice! Sometimes buffet, sometimes menu served at the table with different choices to make. Great service!! Best half board we ever tasted.
The bar was cosy, we had a very nice strawberry mojito.
The spa is very relaxing, we didn't try any treatments.
Area : beautiful, Kitzbühel is a nice town to walk around, do some shopping,...

We would definitely come back to this hotel!

Room Tip: The "luxe" room was great! Mountain view.
