“Another great visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2012

I've stayed in this hotel a number of times, and every time I return I feel more and more welcome and part of the family. This time with my own family and friends for a short ski trip, we were welcomed excitedly, treated to great food, fabulous cocktails from Carlo and when we needed helped getting to the piste (when the diesel in our cars had frozen!), a plan was worked out in no time with other family cars to get us there and back as planned. It does go beyond great service, and I am already looking forward to the next trip.

We have stayed at this lovely hotel for more than 10 years, mainly on short ski breaks, but also in the summer. The hospitality and welcome is first class, as is the food. Mercedes & Giorgio have always gone out of their way to help us in many ways, selecting the best skiing for the day's conditions, helping us avoid the crowds, etc. The hotel's location makes it a great position for skiing from Malga Ciapela, Alleghe or Arraba - or even Cortina. And the Dolomiti scenery? unbeatable. Looking forward to the next time

There are some surprises about spending Christmas break and New Year's in this part of Dolomiti. We wanted to go for a week but almost all hotels from Cortina to Corvara, Val di Fassa to Malga Ciapela seemed to be sold out. So we expected a crowded resort and a lively New Year's Eve party. We could not have been more wrong. There were just few people on the ski slopes and our hotel was only half full until 30 January. But then there was no New Year's Eve party. All pubs and bars were closed!

Hotel Digonera is a nice family run B&B which provides very good value for Dolomiti. Ten to twenty minutes drive will take you to the ski resorts of Civetta, Arabba, and Marmolada. Corvara and Cortina are also reachable in about 40-50 minutes. The hotel is nicely decorated with good taste, comfy rooms, nice breakfast. The sauna is definitely worth visiting after a day of skiing!

i spent a couple of nights here with my friends when we were on our biking trip. wish we stayed longer! the area is very beautiful for biking (and for skiing too, i suppose) and this hotel is truly one of a kind. all the important things are there, clean rooms, excellent breakfast and dinner, etc.
but most importantly: the family who owns this place are unbelievably nice... for example: when my bike broke down the son of the owner jumped in the car and drove 60km to get it fixed! and when we arrived from a long day on the bike, they heated up the sauna for us without us having to ask for it... this is the kind of service that makes you love this place!
highly recommended.
