We visited the Oasis at the beginning of November during a period of surprising heavy rainfall. We know this because the roof leaked and several tables were directly under drips. However, why fix the roof if it only rains once every three years! Anyway back to the restaurant. There is no menu which can be slightly disconcerning because you do not know the cost of anything but the food is well worth the uncertainty.
We had a goat's cheese starter. The cheese was really really good but not everyone would enjoy the real fulsome goaty taste of the cheese but first class.
We had the meat cooked on the lava stone which is ideal if you like meat cooked blue!
The amount of candles and the owner and chef [ mum ] banter added to the atmosphere.
