We were staying in Il Poggio, next to Celle sul Rigo, and had two kids in tow. Fabio provided me with a much-needed glass of red wine at the front bar one rainy night while I was trying to find a pay phone, and took the family back the next day for lunch.
We were the only patrons in the restaurant to start with, and received excellent service - the children were also very well accommodated. As the place started to fill up with the lunch crowd, we continued to receive excellent service. I particularly recommend the Pici Primavera and the Pici Florentine. The bruschetta platter was also excellent, with a great variety of local produce. We asked Fabio to pick our wine, and we weren't disappointed.
The bill was cheaper than most of our meals out in Italy, and the food far superior. If you are anywhere near Celle sul Rigo, you must visit. It's worth travelling for, too.
