Been in Lemuria 4 nights. Although I knew the resort from past visits, this was my first stay there.

My opinion is, that the resort feature splendid service, but architecture & design is plain average. There are dozen buildings in a row, being in high number suites results in long walks to the lobby & restaurants.

Compared to the prices they charge, the resort is way to big!

If you are not battered to come to Praslin, take another island - they feature much better hotels at same prices.

We had decided to have 3 weeks in the Seychelles for our Honeymoon, staying on 3 different islands, Praslin being our second week. We had just come from the DIVINE Banyan Tree Resort on Mahe where everything was SUPERB. So we were eager and excited to get to this resort and sample everything it had to offfer...what a disappointment!!

The place is pretty spectacular in its architecture but after The Banyan Trees elegance the size and crowds where a shock. The service was friendly but inexperienced and the Pool Staff spent most of the time talking and laughing at the guests, the accomodation was ordinary, our room was small and cold and the bed uncomfortable (in Banyan Tree you get a villa set above the Indian Ocean). The food at the restaurants was not great and the service certainly NOT 5 Star. One of the waiters actually swore when he gave me a sparkling wine instead of the Champagne I ordered. And order a glass of red wine at your peril, it either comes chilled or warmed in a mircowave!!

The beach and the beach bar staff were lovely and so we spent most of our days there. We left the Resort 3 nights to eat outside where the food was traditional Creole, the atmosphere lively and the price for 2 with wine around $30, however we did find that taxis are very pricey but felt it was well worth it just to get out of the Resort.

If you want to be surrounded by 100's of people whether at the pool, at dinner or on the beach this Resort will be fine, but for us we spent the entire week wishing we were at the Banyan Tree. Thank goodness we were on our way to the incredible Fregate Island Private, which made us forget all about the over priced 2 star service of Lemuria.

During our honeymoon we stayed in 4 hotels in the order of L'Archipel, Lemuria, Fisherman's Cove (Mahé) and Saint Anne's. This was our second hotel and we stayed here only for two nights.
Since we were a honeymooncouple we got quit some surprises as in a poloshirt, champagne, fruit, diner at the beachbar and grill, etc. The resort is very big, but you can always go by golfcar. We took a 20-minute walk to the very beautifull bay Anse Georgette which is also part of the hotel. There we had the whole bay to ourself.
The food in the main restaurant is not that special, but the beachbar and grill is very good.
The service was great. They try to help you in any way they can. Giving a tip so once in a while does help a lot eventhough they don't expect you to.
Don't go here if you want to do some excursions because it's quit far out of everything. Also keep in mind that the airport is not far and you can hear (and see) the planes very well. The pool is beautifull and made on the rocks. This gives a cool effect of swimming in a natural pool.
The rooms are clean and luxurious. I did expect the rooms to be bigger looking at the price we paid for, but everything was there.

Lemuria is a very expensive place to be, but it was still paradise. We do liked our former small hotel L'Archipel more.

This is one of the most expectacular hotels I stayed in. I stayed with my family; husband son and daughter, in a 2-bedroom villa. It was awesome!! I loved the plan of the villa where the rooms were scattered on the land. The two bedrooms were on the two sides of the land, each with a veranda, and contained an x-large toilet which overlooked private gardens. An aoutdoor shower was also available. In the middle of the land comes the living with a giant tv, that overlooks the privat pool. The dining is outdoors, few steps lower than the rest of the house and surrounded by water extended from the pool. On our first night, we had dinner out there. Everything was arranged for us in our villa, we also had a private butler. It felt like a fairy tail!! The hotel contained one of the lovliest golf courses I've ever seen. It also has awesome beaches and views. I highly recommend this hotel, dispite of it's high rates. You get what you pay for after all!!
