This is an old restaurant opened since 1998 (or 1999), is a very nice seating place to watch the ships passing through the Canal (at a distance) without going to the Miraflores locks restaurant. The other plus of this restaurant is that is located on the Chagres river and wildlife can be seen while seating there, mainly turtles, iguanas, occasional alligators, lowland pacas, agouties (larger mice).
The prices are from average to high (not cheap, but the view is worth it) the food quality is just good (better "a la carte" selection rather than the buffet), classic Latinamerican dishes. If don't want to eat there, is possible to have only drinks and seat, watch and relax (bring your binoculars if possible).....
Still today is a very popular place for locals to bring visitors. The movie "The Tailor of Panama" (2001, Pierce Brosnan, Jamie Lee Curtis) was filmed partly there (with a very known local folk musical duo performing background)
