“5* all the way - highly recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

Just got back from an incredible week at Voyage Sorgun and will be highly recommending to anyone who will listen and would be very tempted to return despite not believing in visiting the same holiday destination more than once. The location of the hotel is great only a short walk (30 - 45 mins) into Side but if you don't like to walk there is always bikes available to use in the hotel plus a bus on the doorstep. The town is lovely full of Roman ruins, lots of shops, a small harbour and restaurants & bars if you don't like to be stuck within the hotel. Manavgat is also only a short bike ride or bus ride away too and has the most beautiful river which leads into the sea and a stunning waterfall (access to this is 3.5 euros). I would say avoid the market like the plague which is my idea of hell with identical fake designer stool, fake perfume stool, fake jewellery stool and then all repeated about 200 times over and all under canvas so incredibly hot & stuffy... not my idea of fun but I'm sure it's great for some people! If you do go to the market, avoid the cafes around it, or if you do go in ask them how much things cost beforehand. One awful cafe owner was doing a great job of ripping tourists off and tried to charge 20 TL for a beer and a diet coke - this would be expensive in London let alone a nasty little bar with plastic furniture being hounded by salesmen while you're trying to escape the market. This was our one & only negative of the whole holiday though so don't let it put you off.

The hotel itself is incredible. The forest setting is fantastic with trees coming through apartment blocks and even through some people's balcony's! The rooms are basic but they're kept impeccably clean every day and there's no need to take toiletires as shampoo/conditioner/shower gel/body lotion are all topped up as needed by the cleaners too. The mini bar is also kept fully stocked throughout too.

The food was amazing and booking the a la carte restaurants was so quick and easy, just phone an automated line between 9-12am to book up for that evening and within a couple of minutes the reservation is made. We ate in all 5 of the a la cartes that we wanted to and had no problem getting in any. We went to the Fish, Turkish, Mexican, Greek & Chinese and all were fantastic with wonderful service from the waiters although be warned that the portions are ridiculously big! The Fish, Greek & Turkish all gave us about 20 starters which is crazy amounts, but lovely to get to try lots of different things. We only went to the buffet for breakfasts & lunches and one dinner but again the food and service are really great here too.

The adults only jetty was a huge plus for us. We love being on the beach and the jetty was even better because you get the lovely breeze and the sound of the waves crashing without any annoying sand! Get up early to secure a place on the jetty, towels are down by 7:30ish in this prime sunbathing area. If you are on the jetty or beach, keep your eyes peeled for the giant turtles which come right up to the jetty and on one day was so close to shore we thought it was going to come in land!!

We always ate late and weren't interested in the shows but everyone said these were great. We spent our evenings at the beach club which had really impressive entertainment and parties too.

The branded drinks and ice creams are a real plus point and the cocktails and bar staff were all fantastic.

There are loads of people in the hotel but you'd never know it because there are so many different areas to it that you just never see a lot of people in 1 area.

We went on a bike tour organised by the animation team and this was excellent and takes you to the gorgeous river, so a really great way to see some beautiful views of the area. We also did a boat trip which was a brilliant day out too (aside from the 1 1/2 hours stranded at the market!).

We took Turkish Lire but everyone gives you prices in Euros first so probably better off taking Euros instead.

If you're an animal person like me, you'll LOVE the cats! There's loads of them and they're very well looked after by the staff who feed them which was lovely to see.

Loved everything about this awesome hotel and can't recommend highly enough. I don't even like all inclusive hotels but this one definitely won me over.

Room Tip: Go for a bungalow, very picturesque in the forest and beautiful gardens, plus if you can get a sea v...

This was one of the most memorable holidays of our lifes. A great resort with some really great staff members. I met a few staff members including Mr Ali , Operations Manager , truly wonderful man. Jiska and Worel in Guest Relations also very helpful. Ender and Recep from the fish restaurant , very attentive ..... the list is endless.

The food is amazing so are the cocktails ( had a few too many ! ). The food is fresh every day , no corners cut. There is no supplements to eat in the great al ar carte restuarants. We went to the chinense , fish , mexican , turkish and italian restuarants. All were great and I could not fault anything or anyone. The italian is a must , 7 course meal at the beach then the area turns into a great disco area for loads more fun.

No area of the experience did I fault. The rooms in the annex need a facelift but it was clean , quiet so thats the main thing.

For a resort that holds around 2500 guests , you certianly do not feel over crowded in any part of resort. There are at least 5 pools , 7 restuarants , 5 bars , a great patisserie.

I was speaking to many other holiday makers on my coach back to the airport and everyone seem to think that I stayed at the best resort compared to there's.

There are lots to do for the kids also , water polo , beach volly ball , gold , table tennis , darts , football., arcade , pool , bowling alley.

All ice creams and drinks are branded. Ther french restuarant turns into a bistro after mid night so you can still eat and drink during the evening after a few long hours on the dance floor !

If anyone is wanting to go to Antalya on an all inclusive , do not look any further than the Voyage Sorgun.

Room Tip: Although the annex rooms need a face lift , I would recommend to save some money and stay there rath...

Along with other people we went back to this hotel for the second year running, We always said that we would not do this, but the service and choice is too good. We are now scared to go to another hotel as we believe we will be dissapointed. we went to 5 of the a la carte restaurants ( did not fancy the other 2). we were able to book these with no problem. you just have to make sure you try at the right time (9 am when it opens). We stayed in a bungalow this time and had no problems, however ther is no lift and is not suitable for all. We were asked on check in if we had problems with stairs, If you mentioned you had problems then you were put on the ground floor. the rooms are now starting to look a bit worn, but the hotel is due for a major refurbishment after summer 2014, but do not let this put you off.The food and drink must be seen to be believed, the choice is unbelievable. you will not be dissappointed

This is the first time we have ever been back to the same hotel (2 years on the bounce) & Voyage Sorgun did not disappoint, it was like being home from home. Booked one of the garden bungalows to be fair not really a bungalow, they are either 2 or 3 storey. We got a room on the top floor of one of the 3 storey and that was fine for us, it may cause problems if you struggle with steps. Rooms could do with a refurb however the rooms are cleaned & fridge re-stocked daily.
We did most of the a la carte restaurants & didn't struggle to get a table using the automated booking system which they insist on you using. Very good service in each restaurant but far to much food in a couple of them, sharing plates seem to have the same amount if there was 2 or 6! Plenty of choice of food in the buffet restaurants (one adult only) even for the pickiest of eaters.
We used the adult pool as our base most days, quiet but only couple of minutes stroll (if you took your time to the nearset bar) Drink, major spirit brands & local beer. Branded ice cream & 24 hour food & drink what more could anyone ask from a holiday.
Activities around the main pool every day & shows on every night either in the ampitheatre (own staff) or at the Praga bar (outside performers) or both.
Side was €1 on the bus or €8 in the taxi only draw back with the bus it drops you about 10/15mins walk from the centre of Side, where as Taxi gets you right there.
Probably not going back to Side next year, but will try another hotel in the chain as they are all based using the same ethos.
Staff are as friendly as you make them. Chat with them & be courteous and they respond in the same manor.
Don't miss out on a great hotel and most of all enjoy!!!

We stayed here in early May a couple in our early fifties. The "Bungalow" was actually a ground floor apartment in a three storey block. The decor is as others have said dated and due for refurbishment. The upside is they are well situated in the middle of thePine trees and this adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The room fridge is replenished daily with Beer and soft drinks. The rooms are cleaned daily and towels changed. On a couple of occasions we had the Towel artwork on the bed.The food in the buffet restaurant can be a bit cool unless you just pick the items being freshly cooked. The A la Carte restaurants are all excellent and the experience is added to by the live music in the Greek and Mexican drinks in the "Mexican".The quiet pool was exactly that and the service from the barman there was excellent.
The complex layout is excellent and even with over 1500 guests never seemed too crowded. The entertainment on the nights was also very good with this being a feature of other Voyage hotels we have stayed in.

Room Tip: The bungalows do not have bath only a shower.

We arrived in the middle of the night tired hungray and thirsty after travelling all day. As we went into reception we were bitterly dissappionted with the shoddy decoration and just the feeling that we have arrived in a 3 star.W e were given 3 bungalow rooms which were very poorly decorated, very small and like i say so 3 star.We woke up the next morning amist a stunning botanical garden
beautiful trees swimming pools ( relaxation pool) , We were moved to the main block where our room was all of a sudden 3 times the size with lovley views ( no extra charge). The staff in this hotel are simply wonderful. genuinely friendly smiling helpful just perfect.FOOD WAS NEVER A DISAPPIONTMENT. fantastic sunbathing decks plenty room for everyone. great indoor pool /gym all hi tech.Branded drinks.and there wasn,t anything they didnt have Jack Daniels smiroff bacardi becks beer effes everything. very professional entertainment really good. disco top stuff. 24 hours a day eating and drinking amazing!!!only wished i could have stayed 3 weeks
