“Hope to return to this paradise one day!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2014 via mobile

My husband and I stayed at the hotel with our 16 month old baby for 9 nights. After reading all the positive reviews, I can say that the hotel really lived up to our expectations. It was baby friendly, staff was always willing to assist, location was beautiful, themed dinners were lovely. I have to make special mention of the staff at the main restaurant who were EXCEPTIONAL! They were always willing to assist and most friendly. The only not so positive I have to mention is the breakfast which could do with more variety.

WE spent a week at this smaller hotel from 14 - 21 March, before moving to the main Island of Mahe for our second week.

This hotel is built in small blocks within nice grounds. Each block has a ground and first floor. There are four rooms to the block. Comfortable and fitted with all you need. The location is just heavenly - wonderful beach. If you prefer pools go somewhere else. (Why would anyone ant a pool if you are in the Indian Ocean?). There is a really good dive centre on site - highly recommended. - White Tip Divers. The diving is really good (as always in the Indian Ocean).

The staff in the hotel are so very nice and friendly - notwithstanding a small and quickly rectified cock up on our arrival). There were a lot of honeymooners and it's not difficult to understand why.

The hotel has this lovely laid back feel - a true taste of the Seychelles. They lay on trips to the neighbouring Islands - well worth it. And it really is a taste of Paradise. If you plan to go to the Seychelles - consider this hotel. If you want bling - wait for my next review.

The food was good and the dining absolutely charming. All in all this type of hotel was just up our street.

Downsides - well you are in the tropics and the mosquitos do bite - as do the sand flies. So take some (non drowsy) anti histamines in your luggage with some good repellent.

Room Tip: We prefer first floor, but I think all the rooms were fine. All have a view of the sea.

We stayed at the Paradise Hotel from 27 February to 6 March and was the most relaxing time. Room 79 which we specially requested is the "jewel" room. Nothing beats the privacy and view. Breakfast was sumptuous, but dinner leaves a lot for improvement. All evenings are themed dinners, but by evening 3 you realize no matter what the theme, the food tastes the same. Definitely buy your water in the village - 3 minutes walk away. It is just too expensive within the hotel. Will we do it again - taking all factors into consideration: most definitely

We stayed only one night at Paradise Sun Hotel during our trip to the Seychelles. That was a bit unfortunate, as the beach here was my favorite.

The hotel is of moderate size, and the rooms are all near the beach. Our room was farthest from the beach and was only 30 yards from it. The room was small, but certainly spacious enough for our needs. There were sliding privacy panels, as most of one wall is windows. And on the porch, there were roll-up blinds, along with vegetation for more privacy.

The chairs on the porch and in the room were low slung affairs, and you had a bit of a hard time getting out of them.

The room had a ceiling fan in addition to A/C and a TV. In the bathroom, there was a plug for both 110V and 240V. There was no bathtub in our room, but the higher class rooms did have one. The bed did not have a fluffy blanket, which was a big plus for me, as I hate the alternate sweating and chilling when trying to use a fluffy blanket.

The restaurant had a sand floor and had live music the night we were there. We enjoyed talking to Lionel and Terrence, as they made extra effort to get to know us.

In the morning, I noticed that birds had gotten into the container for the bread, which made me rule out eating that bread. However, the rolls etc. were covered and were bird-proof.

I liked the informality of this hotel, with the sand floor in the restaurant and the fact that you walked across grass to get to every room from the beach. Please note that there were some gopher holes in the lawn in front of our room, but they were easily avoided in the light.

The beach was amazing. It had shallow water for quite a ways out, a sandy bottom, and small waves. It reminded me very much of the Bloody Bay beach in Negril, Jamaica. There were several sets of stairs to go from the lounge chairs down to the beach, and some of the stairs were a challenge to my companion, who was having trouble walking, as they were uneven and fairly large steps. But the stairs down by the dive shack were uniform and small.

Be advised that the wind pattern changes approximately every 6 months. I was told that for 6 months, the winds are favorable, and seaweed on the beach and wave size are not a problem. Then for the other 6 months, seaweed and wave size can be a problem. Ask about conditions for when you will be there.

I would gladly go back to this hotel, just for the beach.

An absolutely amazing & unforgettable honeymoon! The paradise sun went out of their way to make it truly special and amazing - we even had a special candlelit dinner organised with champagne & our own menu. We were there over Valentine's too - which they put such special effort into, from the menu to the decor all throughout the day! The service from all the staff was friendly & they couldn't be more helpful! Our room was always cleaned and neat and tidy as was the whole premises! As for Jimmy - well he definitely kept us entertained with all his stories - some just pure fun, but some really interesting facts! The weather was really great - I think we picked a good time of year & there was a lovely breeze throughout the day keeping us cooler as we lay by the beach. It truly was an amazing experience & we would definitely recommend the paradise sun to anyone wanting to be entertained & spoilt & just have a relaxed break. Thank you Paradise Sun & all the staff for an unforgettable honeymoon!

Room Tip: We had room number 5 which was close to the road - but we didnt hear any "traffic" at all...

Just returned from the most awesome week at Paradise Sun . Cannot say enough about this lovely resort .Everything was just perfect - the staff we caring and friendly and they cater to your every need. The beach was just the best with perfect white sand and turquoise warm water. The food was great and the evening intertainment was an added bonus. We also surprised when the hotel made a special anniversary cake for our special day. The restaurant is a boma on the beach which is so romantic and different from the norm. The rooms are cosy and clean .There is free wi fi in the reception area which was so nice at no extra cost. We went for most of the tours and found that the local bus which is just outside the hotel proved to be very efficient and economical .After touring I must say that I was definitely happy that we were booked in Paradise Sun as it definitely is the best hotel .A bus shedule is available at the reception.I would also recommend that you take little juices and snacks for during the day as they are very expensive .Local shops are very close and you can walk to them along the beach.Anse Lazio is a must for snokling .Sun block is a must as well as an insect repellent lotion. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking for a awesome beach ,great location ,good food and a memorable holiday and look forward to returning some day. Thank you Paradise Sun for a holiday I will never forget.

A fabulous hotel with excellent staff and service. Although the rooms and beds are a bit small, the fact they are steps from the perfect beach, makes up for it. Nice decor with two rooms in each 'bungalow'. So you will have a neighbor on just one side. Big walk in closet and bathroom with shower and bath tub. Great breakfast and superb buffet dinner. Included in the package is high tea with cookies, cake and juices. Very child friendly. Hotel can arrange activities like boat excursions, kayaks, island excursions etc. Oh, and did I mention the perfect beach?
