We arrived early, just before 10.00 am, hot and very tired. We were welcomed at reception with a cool refreshing towel and a stunning lime juice with lemon grass. The reception staff were excellent and soon had us in our rooms. It was then that we realised where we were! The view from rooms 136 and 137 took our breath away as we stared through the palm trees, across the small beach towards the island across the bay.
The pool was massive, clean and well looked after with a glorious pool side bar; our next stop for an hour as we sampled the local Sey Brew whilst sat on stools in the water. Then lunch beside the pool. Service was faultless, friendly and the people charming.
Dinner was taken in the jetty restaurant, mainly buffet style, despite other comments on this site, I can tell you the quality was of the highest standard and the choice was vast. There is little to beat dining here, whilst enjoying the cooling tropical breeze and watching the fish swimming around in the shallows below you.
We cannot praise the staff and the facilities offered at this hotel enough. The boat taxi service is far better than hiring a car for the day.
Now for the downside...After 10 days of bliss, we had to leave.
